My OH earns millions AMA

Just that really. I'm a SAHM. He's earned over a million pounds for the last few years. 7 last year probs not as much this year. Presume I will get a lot of abuse but do think that there are a lot of misconceptions as to.how much money it really is after tax and what sort of person you are so....

Why would you get a load of abuse?
If anyone gives you 'abuse' it'll be from a place of jealousy and no more.

What's the most expensive thing you own? What does your OH do?

What does he do?

Do you have your hard hat on?

Have your outgoings risen in line with earnings? Do you find that you mix with others with similar earnings?

As a SAHM have you also amassed personal savings, pensions, etc in-line with your household wealth?

Do you help your family financially? Do your family know what your DH earns?

Do you have a lot of help? Eg cleaners, gardeners, cooks?

Are you completely happy in your life? If so, do you think this is because of the money?

Can you put your husband on seeing as he is the one earning it

He's a hedge fund manager. After house and car. Jewellery. Paintings watched around 20k each.

Do you constantly shop?

Is your husband generous towards other people or a bit tight?

Are you married?

How much tax does he pay? Not being horrible at all - genuinely interested, as his input must be significant.

God this is harder than I thought. In some respects it does make us happy. Being able to do nice things is nice but we never have that stuck thing. Like if the kids were unhappy at school we'd move them easily. If we were unhappy where we were living we would move.

I think we are a bit tight when it comes to giving to charity but not get Wally tight no.

We genuinely pay all the tax (except for ISA's etc.) that's one thing o was keen to get out.

I do constantly shop. But not expensive stuff just general.

We mix with people with similar earnings. We save a fair bit. Our main expenses are holidays and private education. The house costs a fortune to run.

What is his job security like?

Do you have contingency plans if everything falls down around your ears?

Do you (as a couple) have long term plans to escape the rat race? What will you do?

I have a gardener 1 day a week and a cleaner 1 day a week.

Do you ever worry that if the marriage went sour you'd be trapped by the lifestyle?

Do your family expect handouts?
