So you are a SAHM in a family that can afford a SAHM without relying on benefits. Plenty of those about so nothing unusual there.
You were misleading people a bit with the minimum wage statement because that is a recent and hopefully temporary situation,

Your partner did well to support you both without relying on benefits when you dropped out of college when pregnant and he studied and worked during a recession.

No innu there isnt anything unusal which why this thread was started because as it indeed proves theres a lot of mosperceptions and judgements about SAHM with people failing to consider some people are xan actally afford itbwithout benefits

That said, I’m currently a SAHM and hate it. Worst job for me personally, but wouldn’t say it’s the hardest job out there. Love my DC, but it can be so boring and isolating. Working on changing that though.

You don’t have to love it for it to be rewarding. A parent just being there with their child can be fruitful in many ways. Like it or not.
