I'll be going for the UPPAbaby Vista, there's been two in my family already and I love it. Handles very easily and smoothly, giant basket, adjustable handlebar, big smooth wheels and the people I know who have owned one have never had an issue.

We've just ordered the UppaBaby Vista! We're both tall parents so found the height perfect and loved that it could be easily changed to a double buggy if we needed it.

The latest offering in the popular series of UPPAbaby Vista strollers, the Vista V3 comes with some handy improvements to make it a great option for families with one or more children. Thanks to the large, puncture-proof back tyres and improved suspension, it provides a smooth ride over lots of different terrain, so you know your baby can rest no matter where you go.

The stroller can be used from birth with the included carrycot, but also comes with a toddler seat which is suitable from six months and can last up until around the age four.. You can easily transform it to a double too, if you have more children - or even purchase the buggy board for older siblings. It’s ultra-stylish too, with a range of neutral colours to choose from and stylish leather finishes on the handle and bumper bar - and the updated canopy has a pop out extension which ensures your baby is covered during all kinds of weather.

During testing, our parent tester and new mum, Emma, loved how roomy the Vista V3 is. She says, “The carrycot is spacious enough for our little one, Oscar, whilst giving a safe and comfortable place for him to lay. The built-in sunshade within the carrycot cover is so clever and easy to pop-out when needed. The stroller feels sturdy and safe, with good suspension - even walking in our rural village over uneven paths, our son is always secure and sleeps without a hassle.”

How we tested the UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair

  • Used the UPPAbaby Vista V3 for three months as the primary pushchair

  • Tested with a newborn primarily in the carrycot

  • Used every day for local walks, days out and trips to the shops

Getting out of the house with a newborn is no easy task, so Emma certainly put the Vista V3 through its paces and was impressed with how reliable and easy the pushchair fitted into her life. She used the Vista V3 every day for daily tasks such as going to the shops, for walks to the park and on days out.

Emma loved that the spacious and comfortable carrycot gave her son somewhere cosy to sleep on trips out, especially as the pushchair offers a smooth ride to push even over bumpy ground. The folding mechanism on the Vista V3 can be done quickly if you’re in a rush, although you do have to take it apart to fit it into a small car boot.

Emma says: “We’ve used the Vista V3 on a daily basis for local walks, shopping trips and days out. Walks near home have been on uneven pavements, some country lanes and public footpaths, which have been a good test of the suspension, which is very impressive. All four wheels are large enough to give a smooth ride across the different terrain.”

During testing, the Vista V3 was scored on eight key criteria including: performance, quality and durability, ease of use, value for money, safety and stability, ease of installation, comfort and adjustability.

UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair: what’s in the box?

  • Pushchair frame

  • Two rear wheels (that need to be secured on)

  • Carrycot

  • Toddler all-season seat

  • Rain covers for each seat

  • Bug shields for each seat

  • Toddler seat storage bag

  • Manual

How easy is the UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair to assemble?

The Vista V3 received top marks for its easy assembly, thanks to clear instructions and accessible online support. Emma was able to set up the pushchair quickly and effortlessly.

She explains, Assembly straight from the box was very simple. The instructions were clear, and there was also a YouTube tutorial available if needed. Setting it up involved attaching the two rear wheels, unfolding the carrycot and clipping it onto the frame. The seat for older children is also easy to attach, though we haven’t used it yet - we’ll add it when Oscar is big enough.”

Although Emma didn’t need to use the Vista V3 as a double stroller, it offers that flexibility. By purchasing upper and lower adapters, you can configure it to accommodate a carrycot or car seat in double mode.

UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair: how does it look?

Compared to its predecessor, the UPPAbaby Vista V2, the UPPAbaby Vista V3 has some lovely new touches to the design. While it’s very similar in terms of weight and size, the frame has a new coating which comes in either black or silver depending on the colour scheme you choose, with the canopy and carrycot covers providing colour and texture to the pushchair. It’s available in eight different neutral tones, making it perfect for families who go on to have more children.

The pushchair weighs 13.2kg with the carrycot attached and is compact and lightweight enough to easily manoeuvre around most places. The handlebar and bumper bar are both finished with a gorgeous leather so it looks super stylish and is comfortable to push too. The stroller has also been designed so you won’t see any rivets or screws.

Emma says: “The aesthetic of the stroller is beautiful - the colour (we had Gwen) is beautiful and a perfect gender-neutral option. The design means that we have a good-looking stroller which is also practical and safe for our son. He arrived in late October, so walks in November and December have been in cool temperatures, but Oscar has stayed warm and comfortable while still having good air circulation and space to move.”

UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair: is it safe and sturdy?

Emma felt completely confident using the pushchair with her newborn, giving the Vista V3 top marks for providing a safe and secure place for her son to rest. A major advantage is its versatility - it can be used from birth with the included carrycot and then transitioned to the toddler seat from six months onward.

She shares, “Using the pushchair with the carrycot feels very safe for Oscar. There’s no risk of little fingers getting caught, and he’s completely secure inside. Since he’s still a newborn, we haven’t had the chance to fully test the toddler seat yet, but we will in time.”

The Vista V3 passed all our sturdiness tests too and didn’t topple over. Emma adds: “The brake is so easy to use, and a red/green indicator shows when it is on which is very helpful. When first clicked on, you do need to push the pushchair slightly for the mechanism to fully set and secure the wheels, but after that has been done there is no risk of it moving at all.”

The carrycot comes with a bumper bar so it’s also safe and easy to remove off the frame when your child is sleeping and, when in toddler seat mode, it offers more protection for wriggly children. The Vista V3 comes with a secure five-point harness which has a speedy magnetic buckle for easily getting your child in and out.

How comfortable is the UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair?

If you start using the Vista V3 from newborn, the carrycot offers plenty of space for your baby to grow. It comes with a washable air-mesh mattress for better breathability when your child is napping on the go, but it can also be used for overnight sleeping. Emma says: “Oscar is still in the carrycot, but this is very comfortable and he regularly falls asleep when out on walks.”

The carrycot itself comes with ventilation panels which can be zipped open to increase airflow on warmer days. The UPF50+ sunshade has been upgraded too, with a pop out extension which offers very good coverage. “The sun canopy gives good coverage for my little one when laying in the carrycot, and the fold out sunshade will be very useful to cover him more fully in warmer weather. It’s very easy to raise and lower the cover, and add the additional sunshade when needed,” adds Emma.

While Emma’s son was too young to use the toddler seat, it can be used from six months up to 22kg, which is around the age of four. You have the option to use it in parent and world-facing mode and it has multiple recline options from upright to flat (another bonus for children who like to nap on the go). The seat has a removable seat liner offering cooling airflow or a warmer, softer seating option during the colder months. The leg rest can be adjusted too, offering multiple options.

What is the UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair like to use day-to-day?

If you’re looking for an all-terrain stroller that can tackle any terrain then the UPPAbaby Vista V3 could be just what you’re looking for. It has two large back wheels (which are puncture proof) and two swivel front wheels, which can be locked to help give your baby a bump-free ride.

The V3’s updated dual-spring suspension promises a smooth ride, even with up to three children on board (there’s the option to add a PiggyBack buggy board for older siblings too). It tackles curbs and uneven ground, such as bumpy pavements or country lanes, with no issues.

The only problem Emma found that the size of the stroller could sometimes make it tricky to manoeuvre. “The pram is fairly large, so it has been a little tricky in some shops and smaller spaces. It’s easy to steer, but the large wheels and overall size does mean that it isn’t easy in smaller shops with narrower isles or where there are lots of people.”

With a soft leather finish and an adjustable height on the handlebar, the Vista V3 is nice to push for parents of different heights. “I am 5’4" and my husband is 6’2", but the adjustable handlebar means that we can each push comfortably. The handle is adjusted by a single button on the inside of the handle, which allows the handle to be slid to the required height, which can be done quickly and easily, even when moving,” Emma says.

Storage isn’t an issue either, with a large basket that can hold up to 13kg, so you can easily pack enough for a day out, such as a large changing bag, handbag, drink bottles and there’s still space for jackets and shopping bags. Emma says: “It also has a clever design which allows the basket frame to be pushed down for a bag to be added and then give a sturdy storage space.”

Is the UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair easy to use on public transport?

Although not anywhere near as compact as the likes of the lightweight strollers, such as the Stokke YOYO³, the Vista V3 still manages to be compact enough for getting out with your baby. The larger wheels do make it harder to move in smaller spaces, such as bus and train aisles, however you should have no problems getting on and off on public transport.

Does the UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair fit easily in a car boot?

Yes, it does fit in even smaller car boots, however, to do this, you will need to remove the seats and fold it all separately.

Emma says: “We drive a Toyota Yaris and the stroller frame when folded only fits in the boot of the car with the large wheels taken off. Whilst this is very easy to do and well designed, this means that, when out alone with baby in the car, there is a need to put the wheels back on the frame, unfold it, then attach the carrycot or the car seat (with adaptors), which can feel a little time-consuming, especially if your baby is fussing.”

UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair: how easy is it to fold?

Even with the carrycot on, the Vista V3 can be quickly folded down. Simply remove the carrycot and then press the button on the handlebar and pull it down to fold the frame. A lock then holds it in place. With the toddler seat on, you can fold it all down together and it is designed to stand freely on its own.

Emma found that while the folding mechanism is quick and simple, it isn’t the lightest or easiest pushchair to carry when folded: “It’s very easy to fold and unfold the Vista V3 after the carrycot has been taken off. The large back wheels also come off easily. Although the lock keeps the Vista V3 together when folded, there’s no obvious place to hold it, so we have found it easiest to carry on its side by one of the main bars. The frame is fairly heavy though and is still large when folded, so we haven’t found it possible to carry anything else when carrying the frame.”

UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair: does it come with accessories?

The pushchair offers a single to double mode, so the good news is that it comes with an included carrycot, toddler seat, bug shields and rain shields, a toddler seat liner and a seat storage bag. You can also purchase accessories such as car seat adapters, a PiggyBack buggy board for toddlers, a changing backpack and a cosy footmuff.

Is the UPPAbaby Vista V3 pushchair easy to clean?

For spillages or after muddy walks to the park, the frame of the Vista V3 can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent and all fabrics can be spot clean or hand washed in cold water with a mild detergent.

Emma says: “The stroller seems easy enough to wipe clean - the carrycot mattress is removable for sponge-cleaning when needed.”

Is the UPPAbaby Vista V3 stroller good value for money?

The Vista V3 currently sits at around £1,000, so it’s slightly cheaper than the iCandy Peach and Orange strollers. There’s no doubt that this is a big spend for new parents, but after putting it through its paces for months, Emma does believe the Vista V3 is worth the price tag.

In the box, the Vista V3 comes with a carrycot and toddler seat so it grows with your baby and can easily be transformed to a double stroller if you have more children. The modern, neutral design of the pushchair is gorgeous to look at, and it’s very functional too - with an easy folding mechanism, large storage basket and improved suspension.

So, while there are other similar pushchairs on the market, such as the Cybex e-Gazelle S, the UPPAbaby Vista V3 is definitely a contender for parents who want to be able to do everything, from going to the shops to long muddy walks with the same pushchair, while not sacrificing on style.

Emma shares, “We firmly believe in the saying, ‘You get what you pay for,’ especially when it comes to everyday essentials. While this set may be on the pricier side, it offers a safe, secure, and durable way to transport our little one. With both a carrycot and a seat included, it’s designed to last through different stages of growth. That said, we’ve explored and briefly tested some more budget-friendly options, and there are definitely good alternatives available at a lower price point.”
