What is the UPPAbaby Minu Duo buggy like to use day to day?
The Minu Duo is a great double buggy for daily use, making outings with multiple children much easier. As Helina notes, it’s lightweight and easy to steer, which means you can push and manoeuvre it with very little effort - even with a load of shopping in the storage basket underneath. It feels responsive and smooth, almost like it glides along, which makes it a pleasure to use day to day.
The storage basket is another practical feature. It has a 11.3kg weight limit and is big enough to carry essentials like blankets, a flat changing bag, snacks, water bottles, and even a bit of shopping from the local supermarket. However, Helina pointed out that the rain cover only protects the top of the stroller, so the newborn inserts and legs remain exposed. It would be a nice addition if the rain cover extended further to protect the whole stroller.
Despite being a double buggy, the Minu Duo doesn’t feel wide at all. Helina loves how it fits through shop doors and around the house without any trouble. It doesn’t feel bulky, and it’s easy to navigate through tight spaces. It’s also great for public transport—light enough to lift onto buses or trains, and easy to tip back if needed.
That said, while it has built-in suspension, the wheels aren't ideal for all types of outdoor terrain. Helina found that the stroller had too much wobble over undulating terrain and gravel roads, so it’s definitely more suited for town or city use rather than rugged outdoor environments.
A nice bonus feature is the hidden pocket for an Air Tag tracker, which lets you track the stroller in places like airports, amusement parks, or playgrounds.
Does the UPPAbaby Minu Duo buggy have good safety features?
Yes! The Minu Duo has some great safety features which work well for both newborns and toddlers alike.
Helina found that the five-point, no-rethread harness works well for smaller babies and is easy to adjust for a secure fit. During testing, she liked that her children’s legs and arms were always secured in the seat and she felt that they were safe during walks.
The three-point buckle system is also handy—it allows each side to click in separately rather than needing both at once, which makes fastening the harness a bit easier.
The brake system is another positive feature. Helina noted that it’s “easy to use and requires two separate actions to fully disengage,” which adds an extra layer of security. This design reduces the chance of accidentally releasing the brake, making it reassuring when stopping on slopes or uneven ground.
The seats are plush and secure enough for young babies without needing separate carry cots, thanks to the seat’s padding, plus the UPPAbaby CozyGanoosh footmuff that’s made with a fleece lining and adjustable hood (sold separately).
This makes it easier to use straight from birth without extra attachments, although the Minu Duo is travel system compatible as UPPAbaby offers two types of car seat adapters: one set for the UPPAbaby Mesa infant car seat models and another set for Nuna, Maxi-Cosi or Cybex car seats.
When talking about the seats and CozyGanoosh, Helina says, “The well-padded seats and fleece-lined footmuff is really nice and has offered plenty of warmth and protection this winter for my twins.” The adjustable recline allows the seats to lie fully flat when needed and the five-point harness keeps children securely fastened.
