Price on writing: £49 for Regular size, £65 for X-Large

Overall rating:
What we like
  • Heat-sensitive plug is a very useful feature

  • Non-slip base

  • Folds flat, making it ideal for travel

  • Suitable for use up to age four (regular size) or age six (larger size)

What we don't like
  • Pricey for a baby bath

  • Newborn insert is sold separately

  • While it has a long lifespan, most children will be fine using a normal sized tub over the age of six months or so

How we tested the Stokke Flexi Bath

Helina and Tabi tested out the Stokke Flexi Bath over a period of several months with their newborn twins on a weekly basis from the time they were just two weeks old. During this time they took extensive notes on several important factors including ease of use, portability, safety and ease of cleaning before providing an overall verdict on the bath's value for money and whether they would recommend to other parents.

We use it with the newborn insert - this is great and would definitely recommend getting it as you can lower the bottom half and get support while you clean the baby from the top.

What are the standout features of the Flexi bath?

"We love the ease of use and the temperature feature of the plug to show if it is too hot. The folding feature makes it so transportable as well!"

How long will you use the bath?

"We will use this bath up to two years old, we think, as long as we can and will possibly bath them together when they can sit upright."

Does the Flexi bath represent good value for money?

Given how much it has been used and the fact that we can travel with it I’d say it's great value, it packs away to a flat position which has been ideal when visiting family and needing space in the car.

Overall verdict

While it's a pricey option for a baby bath (particularly when you consider you can buy one for as little as £9) the standout features of the Flexi bath make it a great contender. Its folding feature make it easy to store as well as transport, and it's packed with plenty of useful features such as a non-slip base and temperature sensing plug.

"It's great value," said Helina. "And I would absolutely recommend it to other parents."
