There are three temperature settings on the Ocoopa Hand Warmer, starting at low heat (35 degrees), medium heat (45 degrees) and high heat (55 degrees).
This hand warmer gets warm very quickly. In the time it took me to count to five, the heat was already noticeable, even on the lowest setting.
I found the medium setting was the most comfortable for me when using it outside, while the low was perfectly adequate for a comforting heat while working from home.
The hot setting felt extremely hot to the touch, so much so that I actually didn't feel comfortable holding it against my skin. Popped inside the velvet pouch, however, the hottest setting could be a welcome addition to your coat pocket on extra cold days.
The temperature on the Ocoopa fluctuated slightly during use, however. The majority of the time I found the medium setting was ideal, but every so often it felt like it suddenly got hotter – some Amazon reviewers shared a similar experience. As a result, you may find yourself switching between modes more frequently during the day, but this is easy enough to do.

How long does the Ocoopa Hand Warmer stay hot?
The brand claims that the Ocoopa's battery life lasts between eight and 15 hours depending on which temperature setting you use. During testing, I focused mostly on the low and medium temperature settings, but the battery life was relatively true to its word, lasting around 12 hours on medium heat and 14 hours on low.
It's worth noting that I did sometimes switch between settings during the day and turn it off occasionally to preserve the battery when my hands became too warm.
I was also able to check the battery life at any time by double-clicking the power button. This visually showed me how much charge remained by the number of lights – three demonstrating full charge and one showing that the battery was starting to run low.

Price: is the Ocoopa Hand Warmer worth it?
At just over £30, the Ocoopa Hand Warmer is by no means the cheapest hand warmer you can buy – however, you certainly get a lot of functionality for your money. The heat generated is impressive, even on the lowest setting, and with a substantial battery life, it can keep hand chills at bay for the vast majority of your day.
Add in the fact that you’re also getting a portable power bank that can charge your mobile phone when the battery runs low, and I think it offers excellent value for money.
