Fionne remains serene because they know how to be an adult.

Respect and best wishes to you, Fionne. Keep on being yourself and ignoring the children's tantrums.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 05/01/2019 09:32

I don’t know how Fionne remains so serene in the face of such nastiness. She is wise beyond her years. When they go low, she goes high, every time.

Totally agree Fionne is fantastic.

Fionne Orlander has made some interesting points on that thread.

Yes, 'indifferent' is certainly not how I'd describe Prior's attitude to Mumsnet. More like 'obsessed' and 'craving attention'.

*Yes, I know Fionne is male but I find it difficult to use ‘he’ for Fionne.

waterlego6064 · 05/01/2019 09:06

Hahaha @ Joss claiming ‘mocking indifference’. It is so screamingly obvious that Joss is upset and raging. Their tone couldn’t be further from indiffiference.

R0wantrees · 05/01/2019 07:24

Who is Theresa Davis?
She's an active twitter-using TRA.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 05/01/2019 07:14

I now wish I hadn't read those tweets: Harrop, too, is expanding the bandwidth of what it means to be a toxic arse.

Fuck off, Harrop, and take Joss Prior with you.

charis · 05/01/2019 07:14

Wtf? TWITTER!

charis · 05/01/2019 07:13

I might finally join Twitty just for Fionne.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 05/01/2019 07:06

Oh, my. I've just read Fionne's first tweet. There must be a lot of dust in the area because suddenly my eyes are watering and I've come across all sniffly.

Fionne, you come across as a lovely person - all the best to you.

(Now to read the rest of the tweets.)

charis · 05/01/2019 07:04

DAF 😁 Thank you Fionne. You are lovely!

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 05/01/2019 07:02

Good for Fionne!

Alex Drummond is expanding the bandwidth of what it means to be a fuckwit.

R0wantrees · 05/01/2019 07:02

Who is Theresa Davis? I have a twitter account which I use for absolutely nothing except keeping around 20 or so people whose tweets I'm interested in all together in 1 place.

I've never tweeted or re-tweeted anything or communicated with any of the people I follow, let alone whoever this person is.

Sorry I mean whoever Theresa Davis , she has blocked me.

MargueritaPink Some mass 'terf' blocklist options have the option to automatically block someone based on the number of already blocked people an account follows.

There are a number of diffferent mass 'terf' blocklists being run.

December 2018 Eve Livingston article,
'How an Online Forum for Moms Became a Toxic Hotbed of Transphobia
Mumsnet boasts of its political influence and hosts chats with Hillary Clinton and UK politicians. So how has it become ground zero for British transphobia?'
(extract)
"Since 2016, Mumsnet—specifically its Feminism board—has increasingly found itself on the receiving end of criticism from trans people and their allies. “When I started using Twitter and engaging in the trans sphere in mid-2017, Mumsnet was constantly referenced both on my timeline and in DMs,” says Joss Prior, a trans woman who is part of a sizable trans community that monitors and discusses Mumsnet regularly. “The whole of the Feminism board was like a spectre hanging over the daily trans discourse.” (continues)

Prior is watching this thread. Says:

It feels kinda weird to have random convo's, and know mumsnet are always watching..... if you dare to chat with their select few hand selected trans pals, it's announced immediately.

PSA to mumsnet..... your confusing fury, with mocking indifference.

Always watching huh... bit like you then Joss?

Katvonbatshit · 04/01/2019 23:22

mobile.twitter.com/helresa/status/1081274192153202689

think that's it. It's got loads of deleted tweets at the top, then loads of shit chatting.
Prior seriously needs to work on that anger.

ToeToToe · 04/01/2019 23:03

Ha I posted on this threadback in Oct about how furious Prior is with Fionne - just for existing.

I see we're just into the NY and Prior is still being furious....

Fionne's good humour and humanity shines through.

Purplewithgreenspots · 04/01/2019 23:02

What is the wall?

Katvonbatshit · 04/01/2019 22:43

I was struck by Fionne on a twitter thread I just read. Witty and wise and so very different to those they battle.

Indeed, Ida. If I had a GNC son I'd be a lot less worried about him if I saw him taking the path Fionne has than the path of pretending to be something that he can never be. It's more psychologically healthy and more likely to lead to a happy, stable sense of identity.
