Laura Brand, would you stand by your man? Trigger rape.

Russell Brand has been charged with 3 counts of rape, 3 counts of sexual assault and 1 count of indecent assault.
He was at court today for day 1 and his wife was there supporting him.
I’m not judging her it isn’t a situation I’d ever want to be in but it’s made me think… if the police knocked on my door and my husband was charged would I support him?
I don’t think I would, it must be hard if the man you’ve married has always been loving and respectful to you but I know for a fact how hard it is to get these cases to trial.

If you have a look at the video they posted this weekend on you tube, called ‘Sunday service’, it will probably give a good insight.

It's awful..how he tucks her hair behind her ear, so performative 🤢 And the constant wearing of the white dressing gown, open at the front, like wtf??
How are they even allowed to do this during the trial?? Surely their defence will be advising them not to?
I believe she is absolutely under his spell

Katherine Ryan said something interesting on her podcast this week. Something along the lines of, "if I was a man, I would hope that even if I was innocent, I'd like 'hey you've been through enough, I won't parade you in front of the press and throw you to the wolves, I care about you and respect you standing by me but please stay home"

Im curious but dont want to add to their viewing figures

plus what does it do to my youtube search history/ algorithm

All those people writing sycophantic messages on the Sunday Service page - do they all realise he's up on trial for six serious sex crimes? It's all "God bless you" etc - unbelievable.

The recap is two of them sitting in pyjamas/dressing gown attire (weird given the context) with RBs gown exposing his chest.

They say a prayer.

On several occasion they mention how good LB looked in her suits entering court and they laugh about the criticism of RB’s chest exposure in his suit. A few of the things they were laughing at seemed in poor taste.

On several occasions LB has to stop RB from using innuendo etc and dials him back.

they read out supportive comments and pray for everyone involved- including those that are not on their side. Lots of religion, Jesus etc

RB talks about how great Tommy Robinson is and LB doesn’t disagree (which has put me off her )

But look at how he’s positioned himself: once he knew he was ‘cancelled’ in the U.K., he became an evangelical Christian and went for the right wing American market… the type of person who automatically thinks any public figure accused of a sex crime is the victim of conspiracy theorists. These supporters are not rational thinking people

ItsABatFaceThing · 18/10/2026 15:38

I believe his transformation into some sort of religious Jesus nut job is genuine. He’s like some sort of zealot and it’s far removed from your average church goer that’s for sure

So yes, I can well believe he’s changed and he’s clearly settled with what appears to be the equally zealous Laura

unfortunately for him this doesn’t change the past so it’s pretty clear he will receive a jail sentence for what he’s (allegedly and probably) done

He will get through it with prayer and the lords love and guidance I’m sure

Tinydanceer · 18/10/2026 15:44

I just had a quick look at Sunday service

I can’t believe they are joshing around when he is on trial for rape and
sexual assault - even if he were innocent I can’t imagine I would be able to laugh until it’s all over

they must feel very confident he’s going to get off is all I can think

im aghast

Askandyforcompo · 18/10/2026 16:01

He seems to forget that mainstream media made him. And he threw it all away. He was on his way to Hollywood A list.

What an utter knob head.

She was very young when she met him. She’s probably been moulded to believe what he says.

Waterbaby41 · 12/10/2026 21:20

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty. He has not been found guilty of anything as yet.

Yes, I'm sure the 6 women are lying...🙄

Tinydanceer · 18/10/2026 16:15

@Waterbaby41 he’s already guilty or not

the trial has no impact on that - it’s a legal process to determine punishment

if he’s done it he’s already guilty and has been for years

thebrowncatisback · 18/10/2026 17:01

Their Sunday thingy is very poor taste

how dare they!

ItalianChips · 18/10/2026 17:03

The social media comments on any post to do with this trial are so depressing. There seems to be a lot of people who believe inviting a man to your hotel room means you give up your right to consent or just changing your mind. I find it so fucked up that people think this way.

I know…it’s like asking what she was wearing

I hate it!

I don't know enough about this case to comment on Laura Brand specifically.
But. If someone is charged with an offence, they are still innocent.... until they are found guilty. Equally, they may be found not guilty. How could we know until the court case was completed?
I would imagine that most wives would assume their husband to be Not Guilty, so of course they would support them.
It is disturbing how many people seem to think that an accusation automatically equals guilt.

Russell Brand has been 'hiding in plain sight' for many years, just like Jimmy Saville did. In his stand-up routines, he joked about enjoying blow jobs 'where their mascara runs a little bit'.

There are multiple allegations women and some famous women such as Katherine Ryan and Danii Minogue have spoken about his predatory sexual behaviour when they worked with him.

In Brand's case I think that fake and nauseating born-again Christianity, rather than patriotism, is the last refuge of a scoundrel.

He has three children and boasted that he'd never changed a nappy.

So many women have come forward and they all tell very similar stories. He's very rich though so can afford the best legal team so who knows whether justice will be done.

thebrowncatisback · 18/10/2026 18:53

@Pedant61

if you did care to read more about it, you would know that his actions are abhorrent.

there is no way to prove anything. It’s his word against multiple victims and I believe the women

thebrowncatisback · 18/10/2026 18:55

if a woman deserves to be raped by inviting a man to her hotel room; surely by the same logic, any man who goes to a woman’s hotel room is asking to be accused

Tinydanceer · 18/10/2026 19:24

@Pedant61

no your wrong - you are guilty from the moment you commit the crime. You are taking a legal principle used in court and trying to apply it to reality - what do you think he he frozen in time until the verdict? Waiting on some precipice

if he did it he is guilty now and was from the immediate time he did it - the job of the court is to determine if there will be punishment and part of their LEGAL process is that the accused be treated AS IF innocent as part of that legal process, it has nothing to do with reality. As said the defendant is guilty the minute they commit the crime.

The legal principle isn’t applied in the social sphere - it’s for the court and some of the media - the judge and the jury

people don’t walk around innocent and o my become guilty when a court process is applied

the general public who are not judge jury or media eis free to think and intuit what they like based on what they know and they don’t have to wait - hence the discussion here

shoving his cock down someone’s throat until their mascara runs is an assault itself so we know he is already guilty of sexual assault

Tinydanceer · 18/10/2026 19:27

thebrowncatisback · 18/10/2026 18:55

Good point

I’m aghast at how many people want to campaign about his innocence - which is so very unlikely given it getting to court in the first place - it’s seems it’s only crimes of this nature that people seem to go on about applying the court process in the general sphere and see them as innocent instead of believing the multiple accusers

Tinydanceer · 18/10/2026 19:34

Also @Pedant61 i would not just assume my husband is not guilty with a record like Russel brand - I’d think he was guilty

but of course I wouldn’t marry a sex offender

thebrowncatisback · 18/10/2026 20:11

@Tinydanceer

totally

I’ve just watched the Sunday service out of morbid curiosity. She isn’t anything like I imagined his wife would be, weirdly. Not a clue what they are trying to achieve it was bizarre. Open chested dressing gowns, hanging light like a halo, references to the court case and Brand pretending to be a judge.

@TofuTuesday what is she like?

TofuTuesday · 19/10/2026 21:26

@Cherrytree86have you not seen it? She’s very quiet, nods along, no make up, dressing gown like him, gets spoken over. I just imagined he’d have married or set up with someone more outspoken, dramatic etc.
