FB and X are horrible and really are full of bots. Very few hate posts get removed.

My X account was hacked. It's still there, glorying in the name "RealElonMusk@[original name]". I asked for it to be deleted, but X didn't oblige.

I've not opened a new account.

There's a sort of "be more France" (nudge nudge wink wink) excitement from the Greens in Hackney

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/france-protest-green-party-march-budget-london-b1301859.html

Of course the greens and their ilk (I'm thinking Zarah Sultana of Your Party and ex Labour declaring they they will "take the fuckin lot" from The Rich or whomever it was she was aiming that rallying cry at) will never try to consciously emulate the people looting local stores but they almost certainly will come up with some trite explanation like "voice of the unheard" or "hurt people hurt people" as used by great hope for American democrats Abdul el Sayed to explain away any unsightly violence..like LFI head Melenchon saying he condemns the riots but.....

' * Paul Mason has pointed out that appropriation of assets without compensation would actually now be against the Human Rights legislation in force across Europe but they all just muttered about him being a capitalist Zionist and stuff

Greens urge people 'inspired by French protests' to join London anti-austerity rally

The Hackney Greens shared an Instagram post calling for an anti-austerity march on the eve of the Budget

To those councillors, good luck with that. France inspiration that leads to any violence is the last thing we need.

Really crazy that anyone thinks we should look to what's happening in France for inspiration.

What's happening there is tragic. Beautiful old buildings having graffiti sprayed on them, nihilistic slogans like 'ACAB', historic buildings being destroyed.

France is in deep trouble and the rest of Western Europe isn't far behind. There is nothing good about what's happening there.

I do think the youth have reasons to feel alienated, particularly with high unemployment and sky-high housing costs. But trashing independent shops and their country's heritage is not the way to go.
