To absolutely hate this government, and what they are doing to our country? PART 2

A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

In the last financial year, the UK government brought in £331 billion in income tax — and spent even more, £333 billion, on welfare, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility's latest economic and fiscal outlook (obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2026/#chapter-6).

@Brudffaa - what time?

Absolutely it is hard. But just because a policy is hard doesn’t mean a government should give up on it. You can’t just start advocating for letting people drown because it’s easier. The last thing a responsible government should do when an issue is complex is give in to lazy populism.

Edited

People are drowning with this system. Not just here but across the Med.

Australia had high number of crossings and deaths now they’re at the lowest.

So yes if it’s a system that enables drownings it’s this one.

To escape the horrors of France?

The refugee camp is not exactly a safe place but do continue with the 'France is a safe country' argument.

Don’t worry about it. It’s just more of the same.

It certainly is, almost like a game "to some".

Are we still taking about a trigger warning not being put on the publication of a deceased child?

Your post, which I replied to didn't mention that, no. I haven't been part of that conversation as I didn't see what is being discussed.

Especially Reform which has literally turned it into a game.

I’m sorry if I’ve missed it, but I am genuinely not sure what alternative system you are advocating for.

To my mind, both the Conservative and Labour governments have tried to stop the boats - and neither have yet achieved that, because it is an incredibly difficult thing to do.

What I don’t think is helpful, though, is taking an issue as fraught and complex as this and pretending there is a quick fix solution. Nor do I think it is helpful to demonise and dehumanise migrants - that won’t solve the issue any quicker and in the meantime only fuels racism and division. Nor do I think it is acceptable to minimise violent unrest - and in fact, I find it chilling and dangerous that certain parties appear to be arguing that violent unrest is somehow inevitable.

Have you downloaded the game? You seem very knowledgeable on its rules. Forget the question, "some" aren't too good at answering them.

I am not a sick fucker so no I haven't. But there is this thing called the Internet which provides useful info. Here you go:

You don't need to download the game to know what it is about, it has been described by various media outlets.

This sort of argument would be addressed by the government releasing the data that demonstrates that your theory is true.

I think it’s important to consider why they are fighting the ICO decision that they should release the data.

If your theory is true it would take away a huge part of the objections from critics of mass migration wouldn’t it.

Also consider the data from countries like Denmark that shows exactly the opposite of your theory - men from a long list of countries where VWAG is very high are committing a high number of crimes per capita.

So many people so desperate to defend the actions of this government- why not just support them publishing the information?

There is a logical fallacy here. You are framing this as though our government is in favour of mass immigration and is trying to conceal negative impacts to avoid public resistance, that it wants to 'take away' objections.
All signs are that this government wants to control immigration and is working towards that, and with more success than the previous one.
However it's clear from the fact no government has stopped it that its not something achieved through will alone, or with Immediate effect.
Meanwhile, we have pockets of our society who labour under the misapprehension that if they screech loud enough and escalate their violence, the government will suddenly implement a solution that it has so far withheld.
Publishing data that will be manipulated by the worst actors within this situation to deliberately inflame the more dangerous of the resisters has the potential for great harm. And isn't going to stop the boats any quicker. So while I don't think information should be concealed, I do question the motive and common sense of those agitating so strongly for its disclosure.

The refugee camp is not exactly a safe place but do continue with the 'France is a safe country' argument.

Many of those in these camps are there because they don't register for asylum in France. They go through the whole of the EU, multiple multiple safe nations but choose to risk death not just for themselves but for their kids as well.

There is a FOI system for the public which is a good one. Transparency is important in its own right, hence the ICO and the tribunal tending towards maintaining it in rulings.

It’s rare for the gov to object to the ICO’s decision. If they do they tend to lose, and then it will be legally binding to release.

That is exactly what some believe @5128gap They think the government wants to "replace" the population.

This is a Daily Mail headline 👇. In the comments section people are claiming this is deliberate and planned. Some are saying it's the reason people are being advised to stock up in case of emergency. It's crazy what hate will lead people to believe.
