It's unfortunate if you shit yourself during an event but she shouldn't have been allowed to continue until she'd cleaned herself up. It's a health hazard and really quite disgusting. Not at all the same as Paula Radcliffe squatting on the side of the road. This woman was literally smearing shit all over the floor and the equipment that other people then had to use.
Apparently, they are given a penalty for spitting but shitting is ok. Not anymore it's not as the rules have been changed going forward to make it clear this is not acceptable. Hyrox are saying she shouldn't have been allowed but the local organisers interpreted the rules incorrectly.
But honestly, what was she thinking? She still thinks it was ok. I'm glad she's happy that she'll be forever famous for being covered in shit like that because she's seriously not famous for winning as much as being a literal pile of shit.

I have IBS and in my running days had issues. I used to have to take immodium before a run. I think it's different if it's just you it effects tbh but if it's on equipment etc absolutely not

Absolutely disgusting. She should have had the decency to stop to clean herself. The fact she carried on knowing full well that it would end up over other competitors is vile. It also makes me somewhat suspicious if there was an intention of it putting other people off thereby gaining an advantage over them. Photos last forever online and she appears to have a complete lack of shame.

Given that this reaction can happen with extreme exercise I'm surprised there were not contingencies/procedures in place to deal with the entire situation better when it happened - and that an outcry seemed to be need to put them in place.
