What can I spend my new fortune on?

My ex paid very little child maintenance. Was on the fiddle with his boss to only pay £5 a week. He had over £2000 arrears.
Additionally, no one has set eyes on this piece of 💩in over 10 years including his children. I seriously considered that he may have died during COVID.
I am a petty bitch so wouldn’t let the the CMS close my account when my son turned 19. This morning I received a text to say a payment had been made to my account.
£15.65 a month will be paid to me starting this month. It will take him 10 years to pay off the arrears, I will be retired by the time it is cleared, he will be 70.
I would have loved to have seen his face when he saw the benefit reduction due to CMS arrears. Every month, I am going to spend that £15 on something ridiculous- suggestions please!

A solid idea, I may move to this eventually. I saw somewhere that you could buy a cockroach, name it as your ex and have it fed to animals at a zoo, think it was in the US though…

Someone I know found a rescue cat, named it after a toxic ex and then paid for it to be neutered before it was found a new home.

That's brilliant 👏 what a dick, I bet you wish you had been a fly on the wall. I would definitely invest it, S&S ISA or premium bonds. See if you can buy something nice.
However I totally get the spending it on a "thing" every month, just for the joy.

Boils my absolute piss.
My BIL never paid CM for his son who is now 19. He now owes so much that it isn’t worth him working so he just doesn’t, he just claims benefits instead. He’s then had two more kids since. The system is fucked and so unfair.

I like the other posters watermelon idea, however. Draw your ex's face on it and then smash it with a hammer.

Some poetic justice - give the money to charity.

Make it one, that actively campaigns to help claim child maintenance. Eg Gingerbread, Surviving Economic Abuse or Women’s Aid.
Or something like Action Against Hunger as he didn’t care his ds couldn’t eat.

Something satisfying - donate towards animal charities.

Koala bears - animals with the smallest brain to body ratio in the world.

Hell any animal charity, bonus points if your ex didn’t like them. Any charity care more about the wellbeing of the animals than your ex did with your ds.

And of course I love the idea of saving and spending on a holiday.

If / when your ds has a child, you could put it to one side to spend it on nice days out, like Peppa Pig World or whatever. Or a junior isa.

What does your ds want you to do with the money? Maybe he has some ideas.

Now don't go wild OP, you don't want to find that you have become a compulsive shopper with all that lovely extra loot. I'd shove it in an ISA because as the years roll by it's purchasing power will seriously decrease, i reckon that in 10 years time £15 will only get you a can of pop and some crisps.
