Nickelodeon Junior Blues Clues just launched a video for children aged 2 to 5 years old to sing along to.

Made by Lindz Amer (of (School video words just can't convey fame) and Nickelodeon Junior

It's called Blues Clues Pride Parade and lists different types of families. No. 6 is 'Ace, Bi and Pan'. No. 9 is 'Allies to the Queer Community'

My 3 year old loves Blue’s Clues, it’s on Channel 5 in the mornings.

I’m all for celebrating gay pride but pride parades are not just about that any more, as this song shows! It’s become completely about the current gender politics going on. And I don’t feel like waving the rainbow flag just represents support of an oppressed group any more. You are making a statement that you support the erasure of women and their rights. It has become that polarised IMO, anyone who doesn’t realise that hasn’t been paying attention for the last 5 years or so!

CBeebies did a nice segment the other day with a family with two mummies. It was subtle but normalising of same sex relationships. Nickelodeon need to take note of how talking about different types of families can be done well.

When my DS was little we had a lovely book by Todd Parr which as all about families, and naming how they are different and it is lovely. Bright, colourful and inclusive.

But, being ACE is a wholly adult concept. To teach the absence of sex, you first need to describe what sex is. Which I wouldn't to a preschooler.

I think this is a bit of virtue signalling by Nikolodian more than anything else.

There's absolutely nothing in those videos that really just wouldn't be covered by a bullying policy. There is absolutely no need to confuse children like this. Nor be so invested in their sexuality.

Apart from anything else they have their whole lives to hook up settle down and have a family etc childhood should be playing and doing their school work and spending time with friends/family.

I'd also like to see the videos aimed at the elderly for use at nursing homes. Where are they.

Any and every political and religious group you can name has always aimed to get to the children while they are young enough for total indoctrination.

This is a safeguarding issue in schools and the DfE guidance is there for all to see.

In school, the buckk stops with the Headteacher; no palming things off as Y6 teacher(s) doing their own thing! The head's actual job involves knowing in advance and monitoring what's going on. No excuses.

Governors, Local Authority or Academy chain CEO, Ofsted/Estyn and ultimately the DfE is the logical path for sorting this

I've just watched it and there's really nothing aside from the first two things about some families having two mummies or two daddies thats even been put in terms children can understand? It really is just feeding them words. I am bisexual btw but I don't feel preschool children need to understand it as a concept.

I first saw Lindsay Amer on a Kiwi Farms thread years ago. Her sexualization of children is creepy and uncalled for.

She has an interesting body of work, to put it mildly.
