Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

San Francisco Library, promoting VAW in the name of 'trans culture'.

Read the introduction to the 'exhibit' here:
sfpl.org/index.php?pg=1032262901

'Trans culture' seems to consist of - axes painted up in the trans flag colours. As well as baseball bats painted in other colours, presumably to 'include' all the genderqueers etc. It includes a (symbolic?) blood-soaked T-shirt with the slogan "I punch TERFs". Not to forget a plaque on the wall with "Die Cis Scum".

Which side of this 'debate' promotes violence against the other, continually? Which side of this 'debate' continually calls for injury and death towards the other? Which side continually claims to be 'the victim' (in classic DARVO style)?

I seriously cannot understand why some people are blinded to what is happening, how one side of this conducts itself, and calls for the death/injury of those who disagree with them. And no, not just a 'small element' of 'activists' - this is now enshrined in an exhibition at a public library! It has been officially sanctioned that this behaviour is legitimate and beyond reproach.

The whole thing is utterly bloody terrifying. It isn't just normalising VAW, it is actively promoting it.
This institution really hates women and wants them to stay away. Where in God's name are we heading?

noeffingidea · 26/04/2018 10:47

This is absolutely disgusting, though apparently it's not going down well on twitter. They've removed the bloodstained tshirt, so I suppose we should be thankful for small mercies.

Pumpkintopf · 26/04/2018 10:51

That is absolutely shocking.

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 10:51

Remember when the TIM who was attending Camp Trans patrolled outside Michfest with a homemade spear? This isn't new.

When you're attending Pride with weapons and threatening to beat up lesbians for not wanting to have sex with you it's time for an "are we the baddies?" moment, but self-awareness is apparently incompatible with TRA ideology.

LaSqrrl · 26/04/2018 10:51

No word on removing the 'die cis scum' plaque, or the axes, or the baseball bats?

Not really much of an exhibition of 'activism' when you remove all that. Lays all their 'activism' rather bare, doesn't it?

When VAW is your only activism, it ain't activism.

Kittens, no, not at all new at all. Check this tattoo and baseball bat from at least 2012, if not before.

Even the baseball bat theme is not a new one.

We painted male violence pink and switched the language around, and now everyone thinks it's fabulously progressive. Now FUCK OFF TERFS.

AngryAttackKittens · 26/04/2018 11:14

There's all kinds of other information online about that particular individual, if you dig a bit.

SunsetBeetch · 26/04/2018 11:17

Yes, quite @wanderabout

Wanderabout · 26/04/2018 11:19

It's certainly a powerful piece of art. I am getting a pretty clear message.

FastandLoose · 26/04/2018 11:21

What the heck are they thinking?

tobee · 26/04/2018 11:26

I feel sick

Ereshkigal · 26/04/2018 11:28

Exactly this.

Ereshkigal · 26/04/2018 11:29

Do you remember that film Tangerine or something. A few years ago. They did the same thing.

changeypants · 26/04/2018 11:32

They describe themselves as "humble"

This makes explicit what was implicit all along

SunsetBeetch · 26/04/2018 11:37

Here's a comprehensive article on the 'TransDykes' and a couple of their key figures.

OvaHere · 26/04/2018 11:40

This is disgusting. I can't quite believe a public library thought this was acceptable. Except I can really because VAWG just isn't seen as truly unacceptable compared to any other demographic.

Wanderabout · 26/04/2018 11:42

Haven't seen Tangerine will look it up.

This article is a close mirror of women trying to talk about upholding their rights in relation to trans self-ID proposals:

www.vice.com/amp/en_ca/article/nnqxe8/lets-call-female-online-harassment-what-it-really-is-gender-terrorism-481?__twitter_impression=true

It was posted in relation to the incels Facebook post by the alleged mass killer.

Wanderabout · 26/04/2018 11:43

Sorry should say a close mirror of what I see

LaSqrrl · 26/04/2018 11:48

Oh thanks SunsetBeetch - I see the bats and the t-shirt in those photos.

Have no idea why people cannot see what is in front of them. No idea.

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 26/04/2018 12:19

VAGW is something or society does not give a shit about.

Any criticism will be met with “you’re transphobic” and claims of “literal violence” meanwhile a girl at my son’s school was punched in the face by a boy and whilst I put some steri strips on her face, her mother told me how it was her daughter who is being put in internal exclusion.

Ereshkigal · 26/04/2018 12:21

Interesting video Wander.

LaSqrrl · 28/04/2018 10:15

Gallas Mag has done an excellent post of this 'exhibit'. Worth a read:

Thanks for sharing that article, OP. It's horrifying that people can't see this for the normalisation (and celebration?) Of VAWAG that it is. The comments underneath are encouraging though.
