For those who have seen all five episodes and binged it all.
Thought it was ok, very funny at times.

It was laugh out loud funny sometimes especially episode one.
I think ' Sam shepherd ' is quite hot.
I'm glad Anne and Kevin had a go at Amanda. She is awful. Falls a bit flat in places but overall a good effort.

I actually thought Julia’s husband looked quite hot at his appearance right at the end! I was shocked when he turned up (which I know is the point) and laughed when he said he was in love with the builder too
Amanda bringing up Meg’s cancer - cringed in the cafe when she asked the strangers to give up their chair but then how she cut her off to get the last trampoline space - only for Mrs Lamb to call her out on it

And felt strangely sorry for Amanda when we met her mum and saw how self obsessed she was. I also felt sorry for her when the ex husband invited her (after she made him!) for lunch and she spied on them through the window.
Something that didn’t ring true in the series though was Kevin’s age. At one point he said he was 8 (9?) when his mum died and her headstone said she died in 1991 - I worked it out that it made him a year older than me so 38 - surely he’s much older than that?!

I liked it a lot and it didn't disappoint - I think it might be better than season two overall, but the only unbelievable bit was at the 11th hour drippy Paul turning out to be supportive to Julia, and have a personality after three series of being crap. Just felt a bit of a stretch, although I'm glad Julia didn't end up trashing her marriage over a totally uninterested builder :D

I agree it fleshed the characters out so much more - I loved Kevin getting his confidence back and being set to take Jill to the cleaners, his character is pretty consistent - a bit wet but very determined when pushed. I liked that he was blase about the fling with Amanda when she was actually more bothered about it all.

Glad I'm not the only binger! Couldn't resist once I saw it online...

but WHY only five episodes? WHY? Surely there's a sixth at least up their sleeve - what series only shoots five in a season! I need to know!

@lanatolater2 yes! Didn't add up did it? I imagined there were character profiles for all of them where they would have a real age, Kevin’s just don’t make sense. I had him at maybe mid to late 40’s.

The reversing scream was a great comedy moment - golden! Also Amanda taking the chair in the cafe WHEN THERE WAS AN EMPTY CHAIR AVAILABLE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TABLE.

That's slick comedy. Just a moment on the screen but screamed volumes

They're all 43-45 in real life and Kevin actor is 44

re. Kevin's age - on a related tangent Jonny was called Ian in the pilot so I think the odd detail does change but I'm not expecting JRR Tolkein levels of universe building so I can happily ignore it!

I thought it was touching that Kevin's mum was dead and had died when he was 8 - made sense about how much he dotes on his children.

I know Meg was poorly , but I did like her a bit more toned down and not as wild.

Absolutely LOVE the actress who plays Meg. She's strong then she's breaking down but so controlled - that's what being a mum is like for me.

I know! Lee is awful but he has a sexy smile and I feel they still have chemistry there.
I'm a washed up fifty something 'invisible woman ' so he'd never even glance my way so it's all fine really !!! 😀
Plus Liz is lovely : Sam going on about the ' little chairs ' was funny. School chairs are something else.

Julia's mum ' you went to the local school Julia , it was the way it was ' !!!
Sort of thing my own mum used to say to me ( hence my very terrible school in the 70s!!)
