Good morning Flowers

here's the Spreadsheet

So there are 4 weeks left. Still time to drop a good pound or two to get us ready for a svelte Christmas Smile

Not an easy time of the year, I know, because of all the various social events to navigate. But stay focused and concentrate on your ultimate goal for this Bootcamp every time you're about to pop something too carby in your mouth!

I hope you all have good results on the scales/with the tape measure, this morning - and here's to a good week ahead

Whooooohoooooo! I'm under 12st!!
Just Grin 11st 13.5lbs to be exact, so thats a loss of 1.75lbs this week.
Ah it's so good to see that number on the scale. Only 13.5lbs to go until goal.

Week 7 here we go!

Bit of a disappointing gain of 1.8llb. Need to focus on water this week as I can see I'm letting it slip!

But thanks @BIWI for the new thread and I'm ready for a new week!

Lost half a lb, after not really losing anything since week 2. Not sure I'm going to reach my goal by the end of bootcamp, 5 and a half lbs to go though.

DownUdderer BIWI will always post a link to the new thread when it’s up. Don’t worry about searching.

I’m 1lb down, which is miraculous considering two big nights out at the weekend and an appalling lack of water intake. Something URL’s me it will show in the next day or two so maybe swerve the scales a bit.

Only 6lbs lost but still 1lb per week on average. I know I could be doing better, though.

Will now immerse myself in the thread, looking forward to everyone’s successes for inspiration!

TamingToddler is that 5 1/2 lbs taking you to goal weight for this Bootcamp, or to your ‘real life end goal where you want to be’ weight?

Thanks for new thread BIWI.

Good stuff nonononon!

I will weigh in tomorrow as feeling rotten today, not sure if I am hungover, got a virus or if I am just exhausted after a very bad night sleep. Had a few glasses of wine so could be that. Light headed, shaky and a bit nauseous. Took a rehydration sachet earlier and have managed some breakfast.

Thanks for the new thread BIWI.

Well done to all the losers, didn’t manage to weigh in this morning but had a good week so hopefully.

I mentioned plans for managing Christmas on last weeks thread and abso mentioned enjoying Christmas and Boxing days and then getting straight back to it. Anyone else?

KondoKonvert · 25/11/2019 09:37

@Rshard I'm definitely going to be more relaxed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. I love a bit of Christmas pudding and mince pies!

Boxing Day is more tactical as we're at our in-laws and they are King and Queen of carbs. Everything will be breaded or wrapped in pastry! Back on it by the evening!

TamingToddler · 25/11/2019 09:43

@ShagMeRiggins 5and1/2lbs to my real life end goal weight which will put me at 10 stone. Pre baby this was a size 8, post baby it's probably going to be a 12 Grin

I've lost 2 and a half stone in total starting at the may bootcamp, so it's come off slowly!

Nonononon · 25/11/2019 10:15

Rshard oh yeah im going to enjoy chirstmas and boxing day.
I don't normally over do it anyway, I usually have smoked salmon with poached eggs on English muffins for breakfast (along with a Baileys coffee usually but now I'm tee total I don't have to think about that this year)
Dinner has always been mostly meat and veg with the only carby things being roast potatoes and parsnips which I'll still have..
And I WILL be having a Christmas pudding with cream and a few mince pies along the way.
Boxing day will be some nice sandwiches and chocolate no doubt. But I'll see how I feel on the day.
After boxing day I'll be straight back on this woe

ShagMeRiggins · 25/11/2019 10:21

Rshard my plan is to eat and drink as I like on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing day. Luckily for me, I don’t like sweets/chocolates/desserts all that much, so it probably boils down to stuffing with the turkey, gravy, and maybe a few bread/cracker/pastry-based canapés, plus bubbly. That sounds like a lot but I’m really good at preparing and enjoying low-carb stuff—it’s all in our home this year—and I’ll have a lot of control over it, but not planning to deny myself a once-a-year thing.

Taming what a great place to be in, five pounds from true goal weight! Don’t worry if it takes a bit more time. KOKO, it will happen.

What I am NOT going to do is having a two-week Christmas “season” of carbs and booze. Because that’s pure sabotage and would undo my entire October Bootcamp, and make me very, very sad.

Plan is to come into the New Year at the very least the same weight as I end Bootcamp.

Hi all! I've stayed the same, which considering I'm already fecking ovulating (and bloated) is amazing.
I've not felt like eating over the last couple of days, but I've kept my water up so I'm preparing for a sudden case of the (low carb) munchies 😬.
I know we're not even finished with this bootcamp, but will there be one after Christmas?

My progress is so painfully slow ....about 0.5lbs per week on average. Yet I've been really good with food and haven't been overeating and even managed to avoid bad choices at social events .....until yesterday. We were invited to a party and I figured I'd have some choices suitable but turned up to find out they literally had just had 2 options : PIZZA and CAKE!! Nothing else!!!!! Wanted to scream ...why why why? It wasn't a 5yrs olds party!
Anyway, had one slice Confused of each so I wasn't just watching everyone else eat. Plus i was starving but felt so shit about it. I know it's not too bad, wasn't pure gluttony but I'm not hopeful about reaching my goal of 6lbs by 7th Dec when we go away for my 30th Sad

Welcome @QueenOfOversharing! Just jump in. Go to the spreadsheet and add your name at the bottom (don't worry about trying to insert it in the alphabetical order - our Spreadsheet Queen @AthelstaneTheUnready will do that for you.

Find the Bootcamp rules (also on the spreadsheet - look at the tabs) and have a good read of those. Any questions, just ask!

@Dia12 - don't worry! Things like happen and are bound to keep happening. As long as you jump straight back into low carbing, any damage should be minimal.

Don't panic about your weight loss - it's still a loss, and if it's consistent then that's great Smile

But you could always list out for us what you've been eating and drinking over the past few days (apart from the pizza and cake Grin) and let us see if we can help you.

Twit my observation and experience is that, historically, BIWI runs a February, May, and October Bootcamp. I can’t speak for her intentions, especially as she’s now semi-retired, but between bootcamps the thread keeps going and support/accountability are all on tap.

Well I fell off the wagon a bit Thurs-Sat, with a biscuit here and there, some home made banana pecan muffins, a rice box from Leon and then a bloody snickers at the services after a tough few days with lots of travel/work. Honestly not sure if I'm motivated enough to shift these last 6 lbs; my clothes all fit etc it's just vanity and my looming 40th! Still happy bootcamping though as otherwise I'd have made loads of worse choices over the last 6 weeks. Trying to mentally imagine a table full of all the biscuits, dessert, wine and beer, crackers and chutney, chips etc that I have swerved recently; it would be huge!

So, back at 125.8lbs though the old school gym scales had me at 8st and three quarters this morning which is more like it!

So, will aim for a stricter last month and see what I can do. I did a decent run yesterday and I swam before work today, it's all helping.

Rayna you’re at a weight that is enviable at almost any height I can imagine, and I’m sure you look and feel great. Whatever your motivations are for the last 6lbs don’t matter, your motivations are up to you, and vanity is allowed.

What I will say is that, as you’re only approaching your 40th (babe in the woods ;-) it quite honestly will get tougher relying on exercise rather than way of eating to maintain your preferred weight. I’m not saying that’s your method, by the way.

Well done swerving the banquet of shite sugar-laden carbs. Maybe instead of focussing on the 6lbs, focus on losing your taste for the things you had from Thursday to Saturday.

I know it ain’t easy, and I’m nowhere near your achievement, just piping up with something to chew on. (See what I did there?)
