Devin Nunes Gets A Pretty Basic Fact Wrong In Defending His Memo
Nunes suggested that Donald Trump had never met with George Papadopoulos. There's a photo of them sitting at the same table.

Just to be clear what's happened.

Devin Nunes is chairman of the House intelligence committee, investigating Russian interference in US government and democracy.

And he just did this:

While appearing on Monday’s edition of “Fox & Friends,” Nunes tried to downplay Papadopoulos’ role in Trump’s campaign.

“As far as we can tell, Papadopoulos never even had met with the president,” Nunes said.

But he knows the president tweeted the photo above. Papadopolous is fourth on the president's right.

This is a bit dangerous and dictator-ish. Trump didn’t appreciate the Democrats lack of clapping during his State of the Union Address, labelling it “treasonous”. Add the definition of treason to his homework list.

Papadopalous and Trump were in the same room. At the same table. But it wasn't a meeting meeting. They just happened to be at the same table. At the same time.

As ever, Amy Siskind is on point. We should never see this type of message as normal; but we are beginning to accept it. This is not how the leader of a country communicates, ever, and it should not be ever be considered normal.

Or Trump, that Don jr's meeting with the Russian lawyer was mainly about adoption?

When Don jr claims (and released his emails to prove) the meeting was about getting dirt from the Russian government about Hillary?
