Q and A corbyn and may

catgirl1976 Mon 29-May-17 20:52:24

Jeremy has been excellent so far I think.

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface Mon 29-May-17 20:52:49

More of Teresa May gurning?

Not sure I can cope.

SmileEachDay Mon 29-May-17 20:53:41

I think Corbyn came across well in that first section

Awks Mon 29-May-17 20:53:49

He's very eloquent and believable. Though 30 odd years as an MP should help.

Jeremy has impressed me beyond any expectations I had. Very compassionate and articulate, the most lively I've seen him which is a shame so late into the game.

Like the format - not politicians yelling at each other, but politician answering questions.

Not sure about this next bit , let's see....

catgirl1976 Mon 29-May-17 20:59:24

I think Paxo is being a bit off. This isn't JC's personal manifesto it's the Labour Party's

thesourceofLoveandLight Mon 29-May-17 21:00:47

catgirl - me too. be interested to see if he is like this with May.

SmileEachDay Mon 29-May-17 21:01:07

Yeah - I think Paxman is just seeing if he gets flustered.

WhereYouLeftIt Mon 29-May-17 21:02:27

Well what's the point of asking a question and then talking over the answer.

catgirl1976 Mon 29-May-17 21:02:55

We should have a drinking game - every time TM says "strong and stable" we have a shot. smile Could be lethal

PurpleDaisies Mon 29-May-17 21:03:38

Why is he asking about the monarchy? It's not in their manifesto.

MissionItsPossible Mon 29-May-17 21:04:09

To be fair this just seems like normal Paxman to me. If he is softer on TM I will be disappointed.

SmileEachDay Mon 29-May-17 21:04:18

You hear it a lot with Paxman...he's so used to politicians not answering the question maybe...

MissBax Mon 29-May-17 21:04:38

I don't understand how anyone can watch Corbyn and not agree with and support him 😞

SmileEachDay Mon 29-May-17 21:05:04

Ooh good idea Cat

<racks up tequila>

catgirl1976 Mon 29-May-17 21:05:15

Exactly - it's like pressing him because he believes in the Loch Ness Monster in his personal life.

He may well do - but it's got feck all to do with the manifesto (unless they had added a bit about bringing back Nessie hunting which I may have missed_)

catgirl1976 Mon 29-May-17 21:05:44

<brings salt and lime>

SmileEachDay Mon 29-May-17 21:07:47

I do wish he'd get rid of Abbot though. I think she's a liability.

catgirl1976 Mon 29-May-17 21:08:04

Yes she's dreadful. Needs to go.

WhingyNinja Mon 29-May-17 21:08:29

I agree MissBax. I am very much a Corbyn fan.

flamingnoravera Mon 29-May-17 21:09:26

Watching now and I think he's doing well. Pushing him on his personal views is pretty low. He knows he could not abolish the monarchy, and tbh as an ardent anti-monarchist myself, I can see benefits to it given the debacle of a president in the USA.

marmite157 Mon 29-May-17 21:10:06

Paxo is dreadful, ask a question and let him answer!

If JC is waffling close him down ..... but he's not even getting the chance!!

Crunchymum Mon 29-May-17 21:11:06

No point me watching, I posted my vote on Friday grin
