She's like whatever the opposite of an ambassador is flaming

ComingUpTrumps · 29/05/2017 21:16

Jeremy has impressed me beyond any expectations I had. Very compassionate and articulate, the most lively I've seen him

This. I was really impressed with him just now. He came across as very honest and sincere, and gave very well-considered and thoughtful answers.

I'm so glad that he's now got a real opportunity to prove himself here when he's put down so much by the media. I thought he did very well.

flamingnoravera · 29/05/2017 21:18

Apparently there is no antonym. "Worker or employees" are offered by google ;)

WhereYouLeftIt · 29/05/2017 21:18

Oh, here she goes. Asked for a number, waffly response.

MissBax · 29/05/2017 21:18

What's a shame though is those people that are most needed to get on board (the young non voters), most likely won't watch these programmes.

flamingnoravera · 29/05/2017 21:19

She cut the police, how can she dare declare that under her, she had given the police what they need.

RoseNarene · 29/05/2017 21:20

I hate how she keeps going on about 'protecting budgets'. You can keep budgets the same and not cut them, but they will be cuts in real terms because things are costing more! Which is why the health service, police and education are going down the pan under the Tories

Orlantina · 29/05/2017 21:20

Waiting for her standard response to education.

Funding formula
More funding
More children in outstanding schools.

WhereYouLeftIt · 29/05/2017 21:21

'It's not the number of police, it's what they're able to do.'

I think you'll find there needs to be a fair number of them to do anything at all.

SmileEachDay · 29/05/2017 21:22

Ha. I just Googled it too flaming

It's not about the number of police?? Is she having a laugh? Don't know many police people who would agee with that.

I

BewtySkoolDropowt · 29/05/2017 21:22

YABU. Still at work Angry

But I will be catching up with it later Wink

DrinkMilkAndKickAss · 29/05/2017 21:24

Just text my DS who's away at university to give this a watch. Sadly though he'll have to wait as he doesn't have a tv and it's not available to watch live on 4od. Any idea why this may be?

As an aside last election bbc three did a fab series of debates aimed at young people - sort of like question time but the whole audience was under 30 - which hopefully they will do again as that's far more accessible than programmes like this.

WhereYouLeftIt · 29/05/2017 21:24

'We'll listen to people.'
(and then ignore whatever they say.)

originalbiglymavis · 29/05/2017 21:26

It's great - DS stalked off to bed on time as he has an irrational loathing of the both of them.

Lupinhere37 · 29/05/2017 21:26

Just had to turn it off as it turns out my dog hates Teresa May. She's been growling and yapping at her but Jeremy was apparently acceptable to her. I still haven't decided who I'm voting for but suspect it would be unreasonable to let a mini schnauzer decide.

SmileEachDay · 29/05/2017 21:26

Yes it is - I'm watching on 4OD

Orlantina · 29/05/2017 21:27

Here it comes......

londonrach · 29/05/2017 21:27

Smile isnt diana meant to be jc 'friend' if you read the gossip. No idea if true as dont know them.

SmileEachDay · 29/05/2017 21:27

Schnauzers are VERY politically astute.

It's fact.

Yup.

Orlantina · 29/05/2017 21:27

SCHOOLS HAVE LESS FUNDING PER PUPIL

catgirl1976 · 29/05/2017 21:27

That's a fine, sensible dog you have there Lupin

Littledrummergirl · 29/05/2017 21:27

What's a shame though is those people that are most needed to get on board (the young non voters), most likely won't watch these programmes.

My ds1 very excitedly messaged me and dh from an activity he was at to tell us it was on. He has used his free time to watch it.
Unfortunately he is still 16 so unable to vote. He thought Corbyn came across very well.

I'll have to pass on the tequila I'm afraid, I'm working in the morning and can't be comatose. If only it was a weekend.

flamingnoravera · 29/05/2017 21:28

Lupin dogs know.

SimplyPut · 29/05/2017 21:28

www.independent.co.uk/news/people/jeremy-paxman-im-a-one-nation-tory-and-newsnight-is-made-by-13-year-olds-9566874.

Paxman is far from impartial. Poor choice C4.

originalbiglymavis · 29/05/2017 21:29

Yes they were an item back in the day. Different hairstyles though.
