The year is truly galloping by.

60min kundalini class. This month I’m working on properly learning and using mudras, today’s is Garuda which I love at both the heart and throat.

I love the morning talks on you tube from Chithurst bhuddist monastery.

Poisonwood · 01/10/2025 18:31

@Zuve thank you for the recommendation, I like Plum Village in the morning and this will be a great addition.

Hello

May I join you? I need to move more but health conditions do restrict me somewhat. Just being mindful to practice daily, if only for 5 minutes would help my sense of self. Namaste 🙏

@Zuve do you have a link to share please? Sounds interesting x

PS I think @Poisonwood might be on the LOSE IT thread ❤️

Poisonwood · 01/10/2025 23:04

@TheRealHousewife welcome 😊 5 minute practices can make a huge difference… I call them Stealth Yoga lol. My favourite is meditative Sufi Grinds. I also consider balance practicing whilst doing the washing up or mindfully balancing whilst putting on my socks to be yoga. Before I started practicing yoga I had become someone who sat down to put socks on, my balance had dwindled and I hadn’t even realised. Now, I practice and wobble every day lol.

Oh and yep, I’m on the Lose It, hoping to bring some mindfulness to that side of life.

Insomnia Yoga…an hour of grounding asana and meditation.

Nice kriya for transforming anxiety, around an hour and did me the world of good.

I did yoga more days than not last month but still struggle with consistency so am on Day 2 of Adriene’s Ember calendar

Poisonwood · 03/10/2025 13:02

@Yogachick that’s a good plan, her monthly calendars are nice.
I’ve an hour flow class later, looking forward to it.

Breathe Day 6 from the calendar. Adriene is a machine. I was a suggestion of one😁

Poisonwood · 03/10/2025 22:42

@Yogachick 😆.

Spent an hour playing around with a new chest/shoulder opening sequence for my adult daughter, she loves that she gets personalised practices for free lol.

An hour of kriya, and an hour of flow. 3 hours of 300hr YTT. A nice yoga-full day.

OP posts:
Poisonwood · 05/10/2025 17:17

A lot of pranayama and meditation; stressful day.

Yogachick · 06/10/2025 13:37

As always the minute I say I want to be consistent I stop. It’s a deliberate self sabotage I need to unpick. Any way, back to it today with the Breathwork from calendar on Saturday and Wake Up Yoga from today, a nice little 11 pick me up. Only missing 1 day atm so hope to be able to catch up on a short practice day. How’s the YTT going @Poisonwood ?

Poisonwood · 07/10/2025 01:11

@Yogachick very well thank you, it’s the most fun learning I’ve ever done lol. I’ve also started part time undergrad Sanskrit…I’d LOVE to be able to read the ancient texts without translation. My children are bilingual and would pick it up so quickly…I will be as slow as anything, but my enthusiasm is second to none so fingers crossed one day I’ll get there 💪

A two hour 11pm-1pm new moon journalling and movement practice, calming and empowering. Loved it.

60min slow flow, lovely pace and pretty relaxing although kids insisted on doing a jigsaw loudly next to me 😂

Went to a lovely Peaceful Warrior 60min class, just what I needed a great mix of power and rest.

Lesley Fightmaster Yoga for Strength, wowser it was just that! This is the first time I’ve managed to watch a video of hers since she passed away; poignant moment.

30min Sarah Beth power yoga. Have very tight shoulders all of a sudden last few days so trying to work on that…it’s usually one of the few joints that doesn’t actually hurt, I am very hypermobile there though.

30min morning sun salutations, very peaceful. Will do some more yoga later, probably a 60min kundalini.

OP posts:
Poisonwood · 15/10/2025 13:37

YoginiMelbourne this morning and then a late night 13 Moons kriya later.

Yesterday was a short Marnie practice about cultivating agency, it was nice. You can really tell she’s a yoga therapist as well as yoga teacher, subtle cues that are wow when you do them.

Today 13 Moons longer kriya practice after weight-lifting. I’m enjoying doing yoga after.
