I’m aged enough to remember when France was “our old enemy,” with De Gaulle blocking us joining the EU and so on.
It seems odd now, given that it wasn’t that long since WW2 when we were on the same side.
Germany was unspeakable.

How times have changed, for the better in regards to that.

just popped on to say really enjoyed that game. England played well this tournament overall. Significant improvements from previous ones. Was nice to see them walk away with 3rd and good for mentality/spirits going forward.

That was such an amazing game, utterly exceptional. Full props to France for making a great comeback but honestly everything was beautiful here, lovely to see the players interacting so respectfully at the end. So much love for this England squad and agree Jude has to be captain at some point, his sense of acting for the team is just perfect. So glad Saka got a hat-trick and that final goal from Jude was just lush.

Am in bed with Marmite toast,dog glaring at me but agree that the French team were true sportsmen…so bloody refreshing to watch after the Wednesday night shitshow with the thugs ! Absolutely every nerve of my body will be cheering Spain tomorrow 🇪🇸
