I’m just hoping I can sleep at 7 or 8pm tonight. If not I should get enough sleep as not starting til 1pm next day. I feel tired today for some reason.

I used to go to the count directly after local and general elections in my city and there was always a bar open there and many drunk party supporters.

We have additional teens
So trying to find a compromise between no sleep whatsoever, a bit of atmosphere (additional are football team mates) and school at 8am (no allowances for football match)!

Youngster’s school has said you can be tired here!

Hmm, FIFA now placating hosts USA?
FIFA has upheld the red card against Balogun but instead of a mandatory one match ban, he gets a probationary period. Following rule changes that allowed Ronaldo to also miss a ban at the start of the tournament. So he gets to play in tomorrow's match against Belgium.

All the changes introduced to make soccer football fit into the US's way are highly questionable IMO. Nearly all for commercial reasons I suspect.

I've just seen clips on the news of locals letting off fireworks etc outside the England players' hotel last night. Twats.

Also reported in msm, the White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card.

FIFA approached for comment and referred to the findings of its independent committee.

I’m sympathetic to people questioning the ethics of FIFA and that ref.

I do have sympathy for Balogun, he has no influence on this decision and it leaves him a a horrible situation.

He shouldn't have fouled so badly as to get a red card.
