I want Paraguay to win for 2 reasons,A they are in my sweepstake with the family and B ,I always support the underdogs 🤦‍♀️

I was saying to DW just before the goal that the likes of Vini Jr and Endrick were going for glory and trying to shoot any time they were near the goal. Finally Bruno remembered that Arsenal are after him so thought he should try passing it to Martinelli. Still a very difficult finish well taken though.

I always support the underdogs too! Loved how the players sand their national anthem with so much gusto

The GG was during extra time wasn’t it ? If they needed to play extra time , it was the first to score and that team won. I think that’s right. I wonder who decided to change it ?

Yes - during extra time. Think they only did it for a couple of tournaments. If I remember correctly they stopped because everyone thought it was shit and teams played defensively which was the opposite intention of the rule.

I do recall a few GG’s being played. Or hearing about it anyway.

I was living in london-it was buzzing. taxi's beeping, you could hear people cheering, bunting and flags everywhere.

So so so much fun

I don’t particularly like Alan Shesrer but the contempt and disgust from him towards Germany in the first half is making me laugh

I do remember the FA cup in the UK having a replay and not the penalties. If it was still a draw they would play again on the following Wednesday night !
