Any one do party plan selling?

Looking for feedback from those of you who sell through party plan Virgin vie, Ann summers anything.

I like the idea of this kind of work but what are realistic earnings. Whos the best to work for?

I would like to sell my own stuff (toys) through party plan, but maybe that would only work in the run up to christmas- Stocking Filler Parties.

Do most people like their parties in the evening or is there a market for daytime events when kids at school.

There is daytime parties providing you tell people. Most people expect thjem t be night times. Ive done Ann Summers and The Body Shop at Home.

Are you a lone parent or do you have another income? Its hard work trying to earn enough if you are hving it as your main income!

I do ann summers partys

I make about 50 quid per party and its alot of fun.

also theres no lay out you get 500 quid worth of stock to start you off and pay 3 pound a week for 12 weeks or untill you bank 1200 pound (which i did in the first month)

you have to give the stuff back when you quit though.

(the pound button doesnt work on my pc btw)

I did Virgin Vie for a year - loved it as got out and saw adults in the evenings and was still able to be full time mum to ds. I only gave up as I wanted to concentrate on childminding. I thought the money was good with Virgin Vie and I loved all the free gifts you got each month. Great parties too!

Thanks louise, It won't be our main income but I want to make enough to give up some of my other work. I was looking at betterware so I might do it alongside that. What are the kind of earnings I can expect from each party? I know it will depend on how many people at each party. How many parties do you do each week? Is it mainly through freinds you get the parties or do you advertise?

Thanks I really want an rough idea of earnings and how easy it is to get parties when I have limited amount of friends and workmates to persuade to host parties. I think I could be quite good at Ann Summers I'm not saying why!

I see that you gave up, did you not make enough or does selling vibrators get a bit boring after a while?

i gave up for personal reasons - although i havent officially quit yet.

i made quite alot of money from ann summers - about 50 pound a night for having a laugh.

you have to do 6 parties in 6 weeks, but these dont have to be one a week.

you have to call in your figures once a week and go to a meeting once a month.

the meetings are fun and informative and ive made loads of friends.

its an easy part time job thatdoesnt require much effort.

friends
relatives
assiciates - hair dress, collegues
neighbours

advertising, posters in shops, supermarkets and free ad's in the paper

word of mouth, and people book from parties to get the free hostess gift.

once you get started you'll find things just go from there

Don't know what MIL will think if I have to "dump" the kids with her at night to sell sex toys .

How long do you spend at the parties?

it depends on how its going - on average i'd say 2 hours, i do a game, then the clothes then a game then vibrators then the raffle

i ussually make alot of money from my raffle too.

What would I want with those sorts of product myself .

I thought you would be there for about 4 hours trying to think back to the ones I've been to. Do you spend much time on paperwork? Thats what I hate about what I do at present, not the paperwork but the fact if I don't manage it while on the call I have to do it at home unpaid and there is the time I spend on phone calls I have to make from home too .

theres no real paperwork involved.

i put my orders through on the internet on a tuesday and they arrive at mine on thursday morning. All i have to do is bag them up and deliever them to the hostess - she passes them out to her guests.

also ann summers is alot easier for organisers at the moment because as of the 1st july theyre bringing a pay on the night scheme in so you wont have returns to send back when someone decideds they cant affort it anymore.

you obviously need to pay your account, either by bank book or card but your moblie phone will be set up to take credit card payments from your self and customers.

the only other thing you have to do is make up your party packs - these are little folders that you hand out containing a catalogue, order form and credit card slips and any extras like special offers or bingo cards (if you choose to play bingo) they dont take long to do.

i have about 8 different vibrators!!!!!
