Nosey question - what types of jobs do mumsnetters do?

What jobs (outside the home) do you guys do? - and how do you find working and motherhood (after all, we are the generation who 'have it all' aparently).

I work in the media and it has to be the most vacuous, empty and soul destroying industry there is. Cannot wait to get out of it!

Im a stay at home mum at the momment but when working, i'm a chef.

I am a registered Childminder, love it. It means am always here for my kids which I have to be cos am a single mum of 2.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant , Style Guru and All round Entertainer!

a glorified beancounter, 3 days a week. a nice balance.

Oracle database administrator, currently on maternity leave going back when DS is 6 months.

Civil Servant - Investigation type work. Love it!

Teacher of the deaf and music teacher part time.

LUURRRVE my job!

I'm currently a stay at home mum but as of Jan will be back at work as a principle teacher at a residential special needs school.

2 jobs at mo

Sing in a band at weekends and TA at primary school but hoping to do GTP course into teaching music in secondary school soon.

And I still cant get a mortgage!

I'm the director of an arts organisation

I help bean counters find more clients

Pre children I was a Technical Aircraft Buyer.

Post children I am a part-time Library Assistant.

A slight change of tack here I think, but a darn sight quieter.

Some people's jobs sound very exciting. Technical Aircraft Buyer sounds cool.

Customer Service Manager for a bank call centre - going back in jan and would like to point out that all the banking probs occured AFTER I'd gone on mat leave, will do my best to sort it all out when I get back
