4 day week but which day off?

Currently full time 35 hours but looking at dropping a day a week and doing 32 hours across four days but I have no idea which day to have off. Those who are part time what days did you choose to have off?

I am thinking maybe a Monday or Friday so I get a long weekend but could be convinced by other days.

I am probably slightly more drawn to a Monday as most Bank Holidays fall on a Monday and in my mind this I’d have less “forced” annual leave days and have more days to choose to have off with my annual leave allowance.

I have a Monday off, so get the bank holidays off as standard plus extra hours in lieu pro rata which I can take when I want. Win win.

Yes I have much more flexible leave not working Mondays.

But the downside is unlike a Friday no one else is off to arrange to meet up with? most hairdressers and beauticians are closed as are a few cafe’s and restaurants are also closed on a Monday.

Can't believe all the votes for Monday! I would feel quite anxious knowing that colleagues were getting on with stuff that I hadn't yet seen.

Friday for me, starts the weekend early.

Monday's a great day to take off as you don't get that feeling from tea time onwards on a Sunday of preparing for the week ahead. You really get the benefit of a full weekend.
And you will get bank holiday hours added to your annual leave pro rata
