How much do you earn

Have previously come across a similar thread on another forum and it was so interesting! Basically people commented with their job, age and how much they earn. I hate my job/industry and feel it doesn't pay well like I was led to believe but also feel I have no idea what's out there career/job wise and how much various jobs would earn so what I could do.

I'm 27, a solicitor in Scotland and earn £35k

OP posts:

35, Agency Social Worker £50-55k a year dependent on contract I am on. No holiday pay, only Statutory sick pay. Permanent social worker would earn between 35-40k but have those perks.

I also run a mobile bar business, which would normally earn another £8k a year profit (but nothing currently obviously due to Covid)
And I have an eBay business earning approx £12k a year.

Next business plan is to start a supported living accommodation.

Fingers in all pies me.

I’m a Russian scam artist who trawls popular forums asking how much people earn and what job they do so I can find new victims.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_engineering_(security)

Tomorrow, I might post another thread under a different name asking what MNers name their pets, or their first child. Then I might post yet another thread asking about your parents’ names.

I earn however much we can get from your bank accounts, PayPal, Amazon, etc.

This thread is incredibly depressing. I think the OP should ask a follow up question- and do you think that's an appropriate wage 🤔😂

larrythelizard · 27/01/2021 21:50

Well said @GorvidAl

Trinacham · 27/01/2021 21:51

My base pay is just under 22k but I actually take home 1800-2000k a month. Shows just how much overtime I have to do!

Plussizejumpsuit · 27/01/2021 21:52

Are these threads mainly going to attract people who earn lots and want to brag?

I work in museums and galleries as a project manager audience development manager. I'm freelance and work 2 jobs at the mo around 3 to 3.5 days a week. For this I get approx 24k.

It's the opposite of these highly paid sectors. People are clamouring to get in. My most recent role had 150 applicants for 2 days a week. It's a sector I worked so hard to get into. I started part time on 17k a year pro rata with a 1sr class degree and distinction in MA. But I wouldn't sawp it for anything. I love art and culture and I do feel privileged to do what I do.

Forgot to add. I'm 30 and rather not say my job title (but it involves working with animals)
