What qualifications for 1st Line IT Service Desk?

What qualifications would an 1st Line IT Service Desk Operator require?

I've looked, but there's a myriad of confusing sites and massive lists of application specific courses as well as CompTIA, BTEC and C&G.

What would make me most employable?

If you have your ITIL qualification I guess. Depends on what the service desk require and what kind of industry it’s in.
