I’ll try to keep it short!

I haven’t been paid correctly since October. I worked till the end of November, after which I went on maternity leave. We get paid on the last working day of the month, and when I checked my account at the end of November I’d been paid some random amount (think £200 as opposed to £1750). Told my line manager who said they’d sort it.

Nothing has happened since. I’ve emailed a few times, and tried to call, but I’m not getting any response. My payslip is weird. It doesn’t state any reason like hours worked for the random amount. Then the same thing happend in December for around £200. But I shouldn’t be receiving anything from them at all as I’m not entitled to SMP. I got in touch again earlier this week, explaining about the fact I’m still owed money, and being paid random amounts as I’m equally concerned that it’s money I shouldn’t be getting!

Does anyone have any suggestions? It’s making me really anxious and it’s the last thing I need with a poorly newborn to look after Sad do I need to give them longer to sort it seeing as people may not be back at work yet?

Of course not. I don't know why I had ANY faith this would get sorted. I put the holiday on my credit card, and spent most of my time away worrying about money. If it's not in my account in the next six weeks, I'll need to go back to work. That money was intended for 1. The holiday and 2. As a top up.

I called. Waited for a callback. Called again. Waited for a call back. That was all of Friday for me. I sent an email Friday evening threatening small claims court. Seriously thinking I'm going to have to follow through.

Yo have given them enough time. I will be calling/ emailing every week until this is sorted, you get a proper explanation. If not call ACAS.

Already emailed the regional, payroll and my manager this morning. So they should all read it in about an hour when everyone gets in.

I'm just at my wits end with it.

What did your 'pay me within 5 days or else' letter threaten if they didn't pay?

IHateToCashew · 16/04/2018 17:05

As an update, my union rep is now 'in talks' with HR/Payroll.

I'm just so angry. I just want to sit and cry. I've got around £500 in savings left for the rest of my maternity leave, which makes everything really tight. I'm terrified to spend it, because it has to last me till August. And I can't help but think actually, I should have over 2K left if they weren't withholding my pay.

I can't help but think this is a way to bully me into returning to work early Sad
