Cafe/Cake Shop name ideas!

I've found a great location for a business I've wanted to start for years. For the past few weeks I've been putting ideas together to make it a reality, but I'm stuck on the name!

I think I'd like the name to focus more on the cake side, and sound classy or luxurious (the cakes will be, and suits the location) and less focussed on the cafe side as it'll be more about the baked items but a small lunch menu will be available.

Avoiding names to do with tea rooms or coffee, and not keen on having the word cafe in the title. Not asking for much am I? Grin

One I came across that I liked is "The Cake Kitchen", it sounds more modern and more interesting than a cafe I feel. What do you think?

Possibly "Rachel's Cake Kitchen"? I don't mind sharing my name as I've name changed! I've added a logo idea that I found online, and I think this name would look good in a similar style?

I'd love something that sounds modern and high end.
Does anybody know any great names that I could learn from?

Any ideas or opinions would be great!

I like the simplicity of The Cake Kitchen.

DonkeyOaty · 18/09/2017 22:41

yy cake kitchen does it for me.

PacificDogwod · 18/09/2017 22:42

Depending on quite how posh your cakes are going to be, how about Cake Couture?

PacificDogwod · 18/09/2017 22:42

Or CakeSmith?

Viviennemary · 18/09/2017 22:44

Quite like the idea of Vivienne's Patisserie. Since I'm about the world's worse cook and baker you can have it. Grin

EloquentlyIneffable · 18/09/2017 22:44

I know it's not what you're going for but on this topic, I always fancied a little bakery type shop called The Gingerbread House Grin

KenBarlow · 18/09/2017 22:46

Don't think I could live up to Couture, great name though!

Do we prefer The Cake Kitchen or Rachel's Cake Kitchen? I think I just fancy my name above the door Blush it'll be based in a large village so I was thinking a personal name may be suitable as I'll most likely develop a good relationship with the locals? Where a city location I think I'd opt for The instead of using my name as it'd be less personal possibly?

The Gingerbread House is a fantastic name! Coincidentally, I make lovely gingerbread Grin

There's an amazing cafe/cake shop in North Berwick just called 'Cake'. I love the simplicity of the name - it does what it says on the (cake) tin.

TractorTedTed · 18/09/2017 22:55

I like Rachel's Cake Kitchen. Sounds good!

MikeUniformMike · 18/09/2017 22:57

Just Cakes
Rachel's Cakes

DumbledoresArmy · 18/09/2017 23:01

What about:

The Cakesmith
Confection Connection
The Cake Room
Red Velvet Bakery

dramallamakarma · 18/09/2017 23:01

Indulgence
The Baking Room
Cake Cabin

KenBarlow · 18/09/2017 23:02

Just 'cake' is brill! No chance of being misled is there!

Considered Rachel's Cakes too!

Viviennemary · 18/09/2017 23:03

Gingerbread House is great.

DumbledoresArmy · 18/09/2017 23:04

Sugar & Spice

Ducknose · 18/09/2017 23:05

Cake's Lab.

Wordplay on a slab of cake, but given you said it's going to be a bit modern/experimental, I thought of a Laboratory for cake!
Good luck with your venture, it sounds delish

fightingirish · 18/09/2017 23:12

Use away if u like the name! I changed my plans and bought a pub!!

hophop333 · 18/09/2017 23:13

Just a thought as you mentioned also offering a small lunch menu. If you have 'cake' in the name I think you're restricting what else you can market effectively?

AndromedaPerseus · 18/09/2017 23:19

After a bit of blue sky thinking these are my contributions:
The Cake Stand
Cakes and Bakes
Pat a Cake
The Cake Hole
Cake Amore

Garlicansapphire · 18/09/2017 23:24

Rachel's Pantry
The Sugar Spoon
The Icing on the Cake
Cream Puff
Cherry Pie

MoonlightandMusic · 18/09/2017 23:25

How about switching vivienne's suggestion around and making it " Patisserie Rachel"? Or, to fit with the slightly experimental cakes then "The Rachel Patisserie" or "The Contemporary Cake".

Catinthecorner · 18/09/2017 23:32

I really like lots of the previous suggestions. For a less cake specific option:

High Tea
Rise
Rachel's

SquareWord · 18/09/2017 23:34

Cafe Cake

Ducknose · 18/09/2017 23:56

Or....
Fancy Bites
Morsels
Gastronomy
