i'm a disability support worker but I worked for years as a teacher aide in a special school. At first I loved what I do but because of the lack of workplace health and safety I am looking at returning to teacher aiding.

oh i dont hate the clients i work with I adore them but i do resent management for put their employees in unsafe situations.

sweetdelicious · 03/02/2007 11:09

can I ask what you hate about your job anothernametoday?

paddingtonbear1 · 03/02/2007 11:13

I'm a computer programmer, have been for 15 years and I still like doing it. If money were no object I might do something else now, not sure what though!

lexiemum · 04/02/2007 21:45

Me love it and hate it, work is so varied and at different locations, have the challenge of supervising a different team every shift, very much a challenge. Hate pay rates issues and the fact my husband is my main boss.

Skribble · 04/02/2007 22:20

I suppose to define how much you love your job ask your self would you still do it if you one the lottery?

Me yes I would but I would be able to be much more picky about shifts .

PeachesMcLean · 04/02/2007 22:32

Love my old job. Hate my new boss. With a passion. Atmosphere in the department couldn't be worse. I've got to get a new job... shame though. I work in communications for a charity and love it. Apart from the boss.

Skribble · 04/02/2007 22:33

cat64 I go to work for a rest .

bettythebuilder · 04/02/2007 22:46

Run my own business, and I love it.
I do feel a bit like cat64,though, in that I work from home, so find the running a business and running a home and looking after dd somewhat challenging at times

(lol at ggirl's comment )

Twinklemegan · 04/02/2007 22:48

I work in heritage for local government. I don't like the local government bit but I do enjoy the work - just wish there were two of us doing the job

bandstand · 04/02/2007 22:48

Judy1234 · 04/02/2007 22:53

I've just about always liked it. Obviously some days it's not as good as others but it's interesting and I work for myself.

brimfull · 04/02/2007 22:57

I'm a sahm and want a job.I'm getting bored now.

Linnet · 04/02/2007 23:32

Local council. It has it's moments, the job itself is good and I do enjoy it but the management are terrible plus single status is coming in and our wages will not be increasing over the coming three years so staff moral is not good as we all feel we're not being paid for the job that we do. All our line managers of course have had a huge pay rise as have had the senior assistants but us lowly assistants haven't. I've been on the look out for a new job for a few years now but sometimes feel it's better the devil you know.

nikkie · 05/02/2007 19:59

TA/Signer in Special School, like the job most of the time but my class are quite bitchy and I always have to work through the 'jolly' afternoons (theatre/cinema/lets all go to the hall for an afternoon of singing!)

IntergalacticWalrus · 05/02/2007 20:04

I'm a freelance Cello teacher/sometime performer

I love it, but it doesn't pay nearly enough
