holidays when working 6 days a week

Hi, im probably jumping the gun as im only at interview stage but the job I have applied for is contracted 6 days a week (5 hours per day) ive looked and the holiday entitlement is still 28 days, which means I would only get 4 weeks and 4 days off instead of 5 weeks and 3 days if I worked 5 days, if that makes sense.
Its really putting me off, does anybody else work 6 days per week, how are your holidays calculated?
This has been on my mind all night, thanks

Not sure how you are working this out. At 6x5 hours, you'll be doing a 30 hour week. If normal FT is eg 40 hours, you get 30/40 of the usual holiday entitlement.

If you work in hours, holiday is also in hours

Hth

Hi, sorry that didn't make much sense, ive worked it out by days rather than hours, 6 days multiplied by 4 weeks is 24 days leaving 4 spare days making up to the 28 day entitlement, am I overthinking it?

I meant my original post made no sense, not your post Smile

Is it 28 + bank holidays or including?
If including then you actually only have 20 days to take when you want which is only 3 weeks and 2 days.
If it is plus bank holidays then 28 days is quite good and maybe has the extra built in as lots of people get 20 + BH's.

http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/detail?itemId=1074414966&type=RESOURCES this mentions 6 day weeks.

Its including bank holidays so your right squirrel, I would get 3 weeks and 2 days bookable rather than 4 weeks if I worked 5 days, its not much difference I know just seems a bit unfair tbh
