Interview today-Oh. dear. god.

Phoned up this morning about a job, and now have an interview-this afternoon.
Its for a cake company, ive been doing cakes from home for about 4 years so ive dug out my portfolio, have got to rush into town to get some more recent cake pics developed.
I havent been in work for 5 years-Im shitting myself, for a start what do i wear-Im thinking smart trues with a nice knitwear top.

oh god, now ive lost my car keys

A day in the life of me, expect anything

Am back. Interview went very well-was a double interview with another girl who was very nervous. Although I felt for her it did make me look a bit more cool calm and collected-I hope thats what he was looking for.
Ive got to go in tomorrow for a trial day-hope it all goes well.

When do you hear about the job?

Well I'll go in tomorrow for this trial day, the other girl is in on Tuesday for a trial day so if its between us too then I spose I will hear on Wednesday. Hopefully tho I will just be so brilliant that he will offer me a directors position by 10am!!!

Ha ha!!! just got home from my trial day and I got the job!!

I start on monday, work 3 days 9 until 2. This is such a great job, fits in around DS and I enjoy it. money isnt great but will go up the better I get. In anycase it pays for DS nursery so that is good.

Thanks guys, its sooooo nice to have some positive feedback-dh wasnt too keen on my going back to work but we really need to money and the hours wont affect ds too much.
I told my mum and my sis (both SAHM) and all they said was, "well what about ds?" He is at nursey anyway 5 days a week until 1, it is only an extra hour on 3 days fgs!!!

Anyway im based in Essex Tamba, so not really too close!!!!
I just had such a good day, feeling like a "real" person doing something im good at and enjoy-im so not an office person.
This is just fab fab fab-I wasnt even looking for work, I had planned to wait until ds was in proper school but if I hadnt taken this opportunity I know that in 2 years time I'd just be bored stiff in some office job that meant nothing to me-This job might actually lead to a career, not something I ever thought I'd have.
