Sitting here trying to find the words as with true sadness we are starting this thread for our wonderful Trazzles. Her beautiful, smiling, sparkling Joseph devastatingly died from neuroblastoma in July. Many of us followed their ongoing journey, that rocky old road, dedicating our ‘splodges of light’ around the globe as we thought of them, always sending love. Joseph touched the hearts and lives of so many, as did his mum, ours included. We are so sorry. He will live long in our memories, bless him.

We are so glad that Trazzletoes has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, it will truly have love in every stitch for her, DH and DD, and as a tribute and celebration of a life filled with love for Joseph.

She said… His favourite colour was pink, followed by blue. He loved swimming, water and the seaside - we spent a lot of time on the beach in Scarborough. We had a lot of nicknames for him, but the most common one was "fish". He enjoyed rock climbing in the Pennines and watched Pokémon endlessly. He was always happy and never stopped smiling, he was full of love.

Thanks

Now parallel to this Knotty and I would very much like to organise a fundraiser in Joseph’s name, and we would like to make a blanket in this colour scheme to auction in the run up to Christmas. We asked Trazz to think of a charity she would like us to support and she has chosen the Candlelighters charity who support families facing children's cancer in Yorkshire. They get involved in all sorts of different projects to help ordinary families who are facing extraordinary circumstances, and they supported Joseph and his family over the years. So pleased we can do this for them too with your love and support. xx

So we are asking for extra squares. Please help with this too if you can, and parcel them separately ‘Candlelighters’

When ready for posting, please PM for info. As always, thank you so much for your support, we will set a last posting date in a day or so.

Thinking of beautiful Joseph Thanks
Love to his family xxxx

Definitely not too late as this project was only launched last week and the deadline to send squares in is normally around 6 weeks after start (though no deadline set yet that I'm aware of).

Not sure about the Pokeball, Knotty & Pistey will advise you on that.

MadisonAvenue · 27/09/2017 12:44

Zing the deadline is Saturday 14th October. It's up there ^ somewhere.

Jinglebells99 · 27/09/2017 19:30

WitchDancer · 29/09/2017 22:08

Number 1 square done. I just need to put a book on it to try and get it flat!

There's some beautiful squares on here, as always, which I can only dream of making. All I can do is some plainer neighbours to complement them 🙂

Here’s my contribution. Was going to put a little Scarbados seagull on there, but don’t know if I can use the grey @KnottyAndPistey ?
