Sitting here trying to find the words as with true sadness we are starting this thread for our wonderful Trazzles. Her beautiful, smiling, sparkling Joseph devastatingly died from neuroblastoma in July. Many of us followed their ongoing journey, that rocky old road, dedicating our ‘splodges of light’ around the globe as we thought of them, always sending love. Joseph touched the hearts and lives of so many, as did his mum, ours included. We are so sorry. He will live long in our memories, bless him.

We are so glad that Trazzletoes has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, it will truly have love in every stitch for her, DH and DD, and as a tribute and celebration of a life filled with love for Joseph.

She said… His favourite colour was pink, followed by blue. He loved swimming, water and the seaside - we spent a lot of time on the beach in Scarborough. We had a lot of nicknames for him, but the most common one was "fish". He enjoyed rock climbing in the Pennines and watched Pokémon endlessly. He was always happy and never stopped smiling, he was full of love.

Thanks

Now parallel to this Knotty and I would very much like to organise a fundraiser in Joseph’s name, and we would like to make a blanket in this colour scheme to auction in the run up to Christmas. We asked Trazz to think of a charity she would like us to support and she has chosen the Candlelighters charity who support families facing children's cancer in Yorkshire. They get involved in all sorts of different projects to help ordinary families who are facing extraordinary circumstances, and they supported Joseph and his family over the years. So pleased we can do this for them too with your love and support. xx

So we are asking for extra squares. Please help with this too if you can, and parcel them separately ‘Candlelighters’

When ready for posting, please PM for info. As always, thank you so much for your support, we will set a last posting date in a day or so.

Thinking of beautiful Joseph Thanks
Love to his family xxxx

Sasbel that is really lovely.

Good morning K&P thanks for clarifying the date.

I've done some seahorses, that's the last of my yarn for Joseph now so these are ready to be sent but I'll probably wait and do a parcel with the Butterfly blanket squares.

Here you go, Spiral: "morning star square". Saved it to my Pinterest board ages ago and will definitely use it again.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 26/09/2017 14:47

Just found some Woolly Hug yarn stashed away. Will attempt to do a few more squares with it and post on, unfortunately life has got a bit busy and not much time for crafting.

SpiralArchitect · 26/09/2017 16:00

Thank you, MrsH - will have a go at that at some point.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 26/09/2017 20:04

I'd love to join in if it's not too late? I also have small already crocheted Pokémon ball. Is it okay to sew to a square ?
