We are so very sorry to hear of the tragic loss of PetaOs dear husband. Reading Petas thread, he sounded such a wonderful family loving man, taken from Peta and their young son by cancer at only 32.
We are so very sorry for their loss and our thoughts are with them and their family. We hope that this blanket will bring some comfort at such a devastating time.
We shall need crocheters, knitters and donors. If you would like to donate wool or funds, we match you up. If you would like to join in but need donated wool, we can help there too.

Ideas and suggestions for squares from Peta, in her words:
DH loved green.
He was Welsh and very proud of it.
He played the guitar and loved bands like the. Stereophonics, Foo Fighters, Oasis, all that stuff.
He ran a lot. He loved being outdoors He loved travelling to new places. We went to Rome, Croatia, Portugal. Awesome places full of history and stunning scenery.
He loved being a Dad - playing with DS, taking him to rugby tots, reading to him, playing him songs on the guitar, going for walks along the canal, playing in the park. I don't know. If there could be something on there which would show how much he loved spending time with DS..
He was really into cars. He loved volkswagons- Mark 1 golfs and campervans especially.
This certainly gives us lots of motifs to think about, but please don't feel daunted by these suggestions, we love plain squares and simple textures too. They look as stunning as the more complex squares and play a vital role in the overall effect.
- Squares to be 6 inches, using 4mm hook or needles.
All crafting abilities genuinely welcome, squares made by beginner or expert are equally welcomed. It really is the love and thought that counts. Please do post any questions regarding crafting on the thread or PM Knotty if you need help.
Do use the crafting guide on the website to help you with lots of practical info such as help with buying colours, recommended online retailers and if interested there are a lot of linked suggestions for patterns.
Previous blankets can be seen on the Woolly Hugs website and we are on Facebook and Twitter at MNWoollyHugs/@MNWoollyHugs which are both good ways to keep in touch.
When finished please sew in those ends but don’t block your work. Then PM Pistey for details for posting.
As always, thank you so much for any support you give us.
These blankets really wouldn’t happen without your wonderful team efforts.
