It's good to know there may be something in the pipe line for EMIN. Her foster work was amazing and she sounded like such a selfless person.

That she was Pasta, bless her heart Sad

Just shout SQUIRREL! at him. He hares off to the end of the garden and back again and runs about in a circle waiting for praise. It's hilarious :o

Sadly we can't play the game in our garden as there is currently a hole in the fence and he has to be on a long line - he'd strangle himself!

Dutchoma · 07/09/2013 08:50

Just a thought: should we ask the fostering agency that EMIN worked for what they would like? Maybe a sale to raise some money for them would be more useful than the handiwork itself?

KnottyLocks · 07/09/2013 09:33

Thanks Oma.

We'll be talking a few options through with EMIN's family when they are ready to do so.

I'm trying to master crochet in the dark. One handed. While feeding a newborn.

I think I could do it with granny squares where you're crocheting into gaps, but it doesn't work for anything trickier.

SoupDragon · 10/09/2013 07:11

I can't crochet in the dark.
Or with one hand.
Or with a large tabby cat who is bigger than a newborn on my lap. Especially one who can not maintain his Grown Up Cat Nonchalance and ignore the moving yarn.

Dutchoma · 10/09/2013 08:16

I so get the picture Soupy

SoupDragon · 10/09/2013 09:00

I can see his mind working. I won't swipe it. It's only yarn. I am too mature. It is beneath my dignity. I won't swipe it... damn

A year ago today we launched our Little Hug Project, and what a year it has been, with more than 200 little blankets being made for babies and children at Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow, more for children of Mumsnetters, and one for the most lovely Mumsnetter too. X

HUGE thanks to all fabulous donors and crafters who have helped make this project such a success. As you know the feedback we have had has just been amazing. Families really do feel the love and support crafted into every stitch.

So THANK YOU! May the project go from strength to strength Xx

I feel we should have Cake Smile I've never used the cake pic before

Hugs of all sizes and hues, little hugs, big hugs, mini hugs, angel hugs, Billie's hugs, I'm sure I've forgotten some of them.

So: I'm only going to send you one Thanks and one Cake but I'm sure I speak for us all in thanks for all you have done over the past yea
