Knotty - I am very envious of you getting to open all of the packages Envy

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/03/2012 22:44

Chipping - you have mail Thanks

Night all x

It's Mothers' Day and for many this day will be a difficult one.

Thinking of Wendy Wubbly, David & Lawrie.

Thinking of MrsKwazii & the Kwazii family.

Thinking of our many crafters and donors for whom this day will also be very hard.

Sending much love to you all and the strength to get you through this day and beyond.

Knotty xxx

Oh Knotty you've said that so beautifully. I know it's not Mother's Day today globally (in the US and lots of other countries it's May) but what with the coach crash and the reasons behind these blankets I'm feeling very, very blessed today.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/03/2012 08:39

For those on here who have lost a child, or their own mum, sending love, strength and a big hug. I am thinking of you all X

PurplePidjin · 18/03/2012 08:43

Also: EdgarAleNPie, Rindercella, BlondesHaveMoreFun, Magic8BallHasTheAnswers, CheeseAndGherkins and all the Mummies who's angels aren't here to bring them lukewarm tea in bed.

prettybird · 18/03/2012 09:28

Knottylocks: have just calculated (by weighing the remaining wool) that I could squeeze out one more square from the remaining wool ( with possibly 3g of help from another pink wool that I have already used by accident for a couple of rows in the Icelandic "mixed pattern" square, as it is so similar). Which would you prefer - that I knit the square or that I send you the left over wool?

KnottyLocks · 18/03/2012 09:41

Prettybird, despite the fact that your squares are simply gorgeous, I'll have the wool please. Thanks

OP posts:
prettybird · 18/03/2012 09:46

That's why I asked. Means I can go back and finish the Icelandic shrug I am knitting myself that I had to abandon to do the squares and was avoiding as I'd got to a difficult bit that I'd never done before - binding together two halves of knitting

...so, off to google how to continue! Smile

KnottyLocks · 18/03/2012 09:48

Ignore my PM then! Get that shrug finished before it's too warm to wear it Smile

Last minute 'pesky ends' to sew in, but I know that however organised I try to be, I will still be running to the Post Office tomorrow just before 5.30pm Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/03/2012 18:42

All PMs replied to, many thanks everyone

Thanks
RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/03/2012 19:04

We have news of more woolly stuff arriving courtesy of our fantastic donors Thanks

Thanks Kirst16

motherofsnortpigs · 18/03/2012 21:33

Evening all! I've just pm'd Pistey for an address. I might just make the deadline. I had such a lovely time having a crochet lesson from pidj And I could have told you how to cast off your knitting, I'm sorry we didn't pursue that line of conversation.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/03/2012 21:48

Have replied MOSP Thanks

PurplePidjin · 18/03/2012 21:50

MOSP, I was having too much fun cooing over the SnortPigs. It's a good job Chipping didn't come, she'd have stolen them Wink

Is there a pic of your MN flower on your profile?

motherofsnortpigs · 19/03/2012 08:56

I'll take a photo and try and upload it later :)

Itfinallyhappened · 19/03/2012 08:59

So knitting up to the last minute here, how dare real life interfere! Can I have an address to send this parcel too, with a bit of luck there will be 2 squares by last post :)

Itfinallyhappened · 19/03/2012 09:01

Ooh I've name changed by the way, it's me of the bizarre pregnancy/knitting dreams on the first thread
