Knotty, trib that's good news about collecting together some patterns for future sad events and just to share with everyone - let me know if I can help

I've really enjoyed seeing the pics of everyone's lovely squares

MadameMessy · 20/03/2012 11:08

MadameM and Rosie, they're fabulous!

I love the idea of a Woolly Hug pattern book, happy to try and remember write down some of the stuff I've done.

I can't believe it's a year since we started Sad

chipmonkey · 20/03/2012 12:01

I just tore the jiffy bag I was supposed to post the squares in. So now have to buy another. What am I like?

PurplePidjin · 20/03/2012 12:10

Gaffa tape it back together? I have a large tub of packaging from previous blankets that I reuse. Lots of tape Grin

puddleofpiddle · 20/03/2012 12:51

I've managed to upload my squares to flikr, I can't get them on my profile as everytime I try it reverts to my old username!
They were finished and posted a while ago but we've all had bugs and ds2 has had a couple of trips to hospital in between!
my squares

LittleBoxes · 20/03/2012 13:30

Glad they got there! Looking forward to seeing what the finished thing looks like.

PurplePidjin · 20/03/2012 13:51

Fantastic, puddleofpiddle Thanks

GhostInTheBackOfYourHead · 20/03/2012 14:30

I got my lovely pink wool last week and I have completed two squares. They are plain I'm afraid as I am very much a novice at this knitting lark although I am quite proud of them. I am knitting a third one as I don't want to leave any of this beautiful wool unused although I don't know if there will be enough. Is there enough wool to do three squares? Oh and who do I PM for the posting address?

Lastly, thank you Knotty for posting me the wool and sending me the little chocolate. It brought a lump to my throat.

PurplePidjin · 20/03/2012 14:47

Plain squares are good plain squares are essential

Weigh one square then weigh the remaining wool to find out if there's enough. If not, send the spare wool and it'll be used to make embellishments.

PM RatherBeOnThePiste for further instructions :)

RedRosie · 20/03/2012 15:03

Aw shucks. You lot are just being nice to a beginner-knitter.

Plain squares are GOOD. Plain squares are ESSENTIAL.

Puddles' are amazing on the other hand ... And lovely stitches MadameMessy, v tidy and nice.

RedRosie · 20/03/2012 15:09

Trumpton - I just looked at the link. Sad and hopeful all mixed up together. Bless them.

PurplePidjin · 20/03/2012 15:11

Beginner knitted squares on my profile too, a couple down now I think (lost my bunny about half an hour ago so he's at the top)

It's the love in the Square that's important, not the skill Thanks

smartiesrule · 20/03/2012 15:16

Hi Pistey, Knotty and everyone else working on the blankets,
Will we be able to see a pic of the blankets when they're done?

KnottyLocks · 20/03/2012 15:26

Smarties, once the blankets are done we usually start a thread with links to pictures. In the past I've basically gone down the old thread and PMed everyone with a link.

Ghost, the very least I could do. Smile
