CM showing there was clear bias towards SH over SR.

That's quite a feature of these cases, isn't it?
It's not just a professional matter, it's 'burn the witch'.
Because every knows that anybody who is not full-on trans ally is evil, right?

Well, what we're seeing is subject to selection bias. It's certainly a feature of those cases that end up at ETs. I wonder where there are lots of other organisations investigating allegations of transphobia in fair and proper ways, which are not landing them in ETs?

AD's repeated use of Dusty's first name when everyone else is referring to him as Mr Amroliwala is not helping his case.

fanOfBen · 14/10/2026 15:52

(Should say, a former employer of mine received a complaint about me [I had had the temerity to sign an open letter with which someone disagreed] which, had they not treated it sensibly, could conceivably have ended up like this. So that's kind of an example, although this one got headed off without even involving a formal process.)

He tried pronouncing his surname earlier today and couldn't say it.

This all sounds like they treated SR appallingly during the investigation.

No option but to defend the trans/oppressed Sam Hall. A doctor quite literally breaking the law and safeguarding. But this is where we find ourselves.

If you are a supporter of trans rights etc please open your eyes and see where this is headed. And this is TERF island so we are fighting.

What next? Surgery for people who see them self as disabled - yes I know it has already been a ‘thing’ See Neil Hopper.

What next? Identifying as a different age - yes I know it is already a ‘thing’.

And in all the open mindedness of the #️⃣be kind people they are forgetting how precious children are and should be nurtured not used as guinea pigs.

Welcome to the ‘modern’ world. Yet we are the bigots.

Their brains actually fell out didn't they?

Boiledbeetle · 14/10/2026 15:55

10 mins tops.

Start the clock

Justabaker · 14/10/2026 15:55

Oh barrister time again.

When I did my reading about this case I was struck by one unusual thing. SR fought for years going through investigations, grievances, appeals, all the while as the attacks from the NHS continued and her health suffered. Most people in her position would have given up much much earlier in the utterly grim march through it all. There will be loads of people who did give up earlier and never entered public awareness.

The judge said she had to leave by 16:05, didn't she, so barrister time had better coincide with clock time today?

Judge calls time.

Justabaker · 14/10/2026 15:57

Darn it

I want a real clocking of barrister time.

What I see is variations on "she knew what she was doing / she deserved it / she's lesser/ she was asking for it / she should have stayed in her lane/ we just forgot she's a person and worth consideration too. "

Tomorrow: as long as is needed for Mr Doyle.

😆

nauticant · 14/10/2026 16:02

As I guessed, CM engineered things so that AD will be doing most if not more than another day in the chair. AD will have been desperately wishing his ordeal might have ended today. He'll not be spending a pleasant evening.

fanOfBen · 14/10/2026 16:03

What's really striking, to me, is the apparent lack of sensible and effective ETs brought by the most-oppressed people, those with the PC of gender reassignment. Are we just not paying attention to them? Or do they really not exist?

Now there’s an image I don’t want in my head 😁

MrPrettyDamnCosmic · 14/10/2026 16:06

I imagined before this tribunal started that Adam Doyle was a LGBTQIA+ zealot who had facilitated Sam Hall setting up her own gender clinic seeing patients from all over the country paid for by Sussex ICB. As it turns out he appears to be an incompetent idiot who was manipulated by LGBTQIA+ zealots like Sam Hall. Actually it's not even been manipulated he just let them get on with it.

I'm unsure whether Sussex ICB CMO is an LGBTQIA+ zealot or another useful idiot but it would be most enlightening if she had been called as a witness.

With the added knowledge that the judge will be spending her evening going through his unredacted diary line by line.

Either way, the Rs couldn't risk calling her because, as CM pointed out, she is a regulated professional with a duty of candour. Unlike AD et al.
