Excerpt from Reduxx report:

Reduxx can reveal that a leading figure behind the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), an organization which promotes the medical ‘transitioning’ of children, has a long history of working with pro-pedophile academics. Eli Coleman, a former WPATH president who oversaw and influenced the Standards of Care for transgender medical protocols for decades, has professional ties to multiple academics who either defended or advocated favorably for adult-child sexual relations, and had himself previously drafted Standards of Care for sex offenders.

…Coleman was an instrumental figure in the development of WPATH Standards of Care (SOC), specifically contributing to the three most recent iterations: the sixth, seventh, and eighth editions.

Significantly, Coleman served as the Chair and Lead Author for the development of the Standards of Care 8, which recommended the validation of a “eunuch gender identity”, and would later be revised to remove specific age limitations on the prescription of puberty-halting drugs to children.

Sadly, it doesn’t surprise me either but it worries and saddens me greatly that:

a) men with interests/backgrounds like this are involved in suggesting medical treatments for children and are taken seriously

b) that legacy/mainstream journalism is not interested in investigating this in a meaningful way. It would be very much in the public interest to make this information widely accessible but journalists seem to be deliberately ignoring it.

Even Shellenberger & Hughes of the WPATH Files investigative report didn’t tell the entire story (as documented on Reduxx) because they felt it would make mainstream journalism reluctant to publicise their findings.

WPATH basically invented trans 'healthcare'. they grew out of the Harry Benjamin organisation.

Harry Benjamin had a weird thing about balls, fwiw. I mean he had lots of weird ideas, but the ligation stuff was primary. Eunuch shit has been baked in from the start of WPATH and before:

'In the 1920s, he championed the Steinach operation, a procedure intended to slow the aging process. This treatment was devised by the respected Viennese physiologist Eugen Steinach, who postulated that a unilateral vasoligation would create a back pressure on the testes, causing the sperm-producing cells to atrophy while stimulating the interstitial cells to multiply and produce greater amounts of hormone. Along with Steinach, Benjamin pioneered an equivalent operation for women, diathermy, applied to one ovary, supplemented by x-ray treatment of the area. ...

Steinach arranged for Benjamin to meet Sigmund Freud. They both had had the Steinach operation. Benjamin mentioned his analysis with Kronfeld, but Freud regarded him as a ‘very bad character’.'

Yes, that section was quietly removed from health service literature and then the whole episode buried.

NHS England still links to the WPATH Standards of Care v 8, which contain the Eunuch chapter.

NHS Scotland removed it; after a public outcry, emergency crisis meetings, and reporting themselves to the police. NHS England still has not.

If I remember correctly, WPATH SOC 8 got mentioned in the Peggie v RCN recently because RCN advised nurses to believe children can be ‘eunuch gender’ as per SOC 8’s guidelines.

Helen Joyce is so right about this medically-dangerous nonsense being like knotweed: it’s everywhere; behind the scenes when policy is being formulated; so hard to remove that court cases are needed and, even when orgs lose the court case and official guidelines change, they often continue on blithely applying SOC 8-style rules to treating children anyway.

It blows my mind that anyone can read about a child having a 'Eunuch gender' and doesn't think "hang on, this is seriously dodgy (or worse)".
