Trans candidate Emily Brothers excluded from women’s section of Labour’s National Policy Forum

As the title says.

"The act of ‘coming out’ has been at some personal cost, not least now that Labour has drawn on that information to penalise me in standing for the NPF and banning me as a delegate to women’s conference. Isn't it only a couple of weeks until the Party Conference? Perfect timing for an explosion of nicely confected shrieking outrage. I'm sure the usual suspects will be working overtime to keep the pot boiling until then.

But it was HARD for him to come out.

So he trumps all women.

Or something.

The issue clearly is having to face that whatever he does he remains a trans identified man and not an actual woman. Which might be very sad for him on an individual basis, but is reality, and women continue to have needs of their own.

The photo editors of the media that "covers" this issue need to step bloody up.

They never run a fair picture. In this, no picture at all.

Tell me you are complicit without telling me you are complicit...

So another man is saying the quiet part out loud about the fact that they cannot respect female single sex provisions ? Great! Keep it going!

Especially male political candidates. It is to the country’s benefit to have male political candidates declare that that they cannot respect female people’s needs, boundaries or our consent.

It really is good to note which men would also knowingly disregard female single sex provisions if they think they can get away with it. There is a name for the behaviour of male people who think it is ok to ignore female people’s ‘no’ if they can get away with it.

key part of the article is that Labour is sticking to following the law. Mr Brothers can throw as many fits as he likes.

Mainstream claims that the organisation had tried to raise the issue with Labour privately and sought a meeting with relevant decision-makers “to no avail”.
A Labour Party spokesperson said: “Labour is committed to advancing women in politics, including through reserved women’s places on the National Policy Forum. There are also non-reserved NPF places, providing opportunities for all eligible members to contribute.”

The first Labour Women's conference which is actually for women in years is being held on September 26, 2026.

People will remember that various unions are boycotting the conference because it is keeping men out. This may not not be a good move as the peaky women who think they exist will be there.

Wasn’t Richards taking a legal route to overturn Labour women’s policy? Wasn’t that why he stepped back from Translucent?

He certainly did Helle, but then decided to take on the whole EHRC instead because they were being So Mean and saying that actual women had rights which was Clearly Wrong. His court case and £26k of crowdfunding are now pending.

Blind people still have ears and I doubt very much he passes vocally.

I'm tempted to ask were they ever even reality adjacent? 😂

I certainly hope so, because there's an awful lot of handmaidens in the Labour Party that are still trying to keep the faith with this mens rights movement.

Fgs just provide a proportionate to population number of T seats. Job done. Irrelevant what sex anyone is, representation provided.

I know, I know, it's the buzz kill of 'there's an actual separate kind of woman a man can't insist he is'. Frankly though any man who sees seats for women's representation and their issue is 'that's for me to express my whatever on', has proven a) why women need separate protected seats to stop misogynistic men trampling them in their own interests due to binary sexed hierarchy, man has proved the binary himself, and b) why men like this should absolutely not be allowed anywhere near situations that are for and about women, because he sees them merely as a really exciting personal resource for him to use, with zero interest in them or what they're doing or why.

Does anyone know how the process to stand as a women's candidate works?

I.e. did he lie and declare himself to be a biological woman / assigned woman at birth / whatever they call it?

If so he should be in disciplinary processes for making fraudulent representations.

If not, they need to introduce such a formal declaration.

It’s not just mature ‘onset’ TiMs that don’t pass, if you see pictures of teen TiMs like Hunter Schaefer without soft lighting and make up his face is still fairly masculine.

In a roundabout way Emily has been excluded from the women’s conference because he’s trans, because trans women are men, and men don’t belong in the women’s conference. It’s not rocket science.

There's no 'roundabout way', just the sqirrely, crooked way the 'trans' twist everything. He hasn't been excluded, he's not eligible to attend because he's a man.

If I had to put out a press statement it would say 'No eligible candidates have been excluded'.
