Robin Ince resigns from The Infinite Monkey Cage

The odious Robin Ince has resigned from The Infinite Monkey Cage because of his trans views. He says he would have been pushed if he didn’t jump. Neither he nor the show will be much missed, both being self absorbed and pompous. But does this mean the tide is finally turning at the BBC?

Perhaps instead he could pamper us with the luxury of his silence?

To be fair, I do think it is one of the funniest things he has ever said and I would like to congratulate him on reaching his comedy peak.

I'd forgotten about him comparing himself to his heroes!

He's been much funnier since he's pampered us with his silence.

I think life/work has gone a bit quiet for him since he flounced off, and he's trying to make himself seem relevant again in the hope that someone will hire him.

I've just had a google and it seems that Brian Cox is doing a series of shows with a rotating panel of scientists of which most are female including Hannah Fry.

I thought Ince flounced from the BBC a long while ago as well. The only time I've ever really laughed at him is when Ricky Gervais was winding him up in some of his stand-up DVD extras. I saw RI once at the BBC, trying to get his son in with him without a security pass.

I'm not going to link to his blog, but ... I'm not sure naming & declaiming someone in the way he has done is really helping his claim to be a victim.

Ince doesn't consider that it might have been Brian Cox who was responsible for his removal. Cox wouldn't say anything directly to him but might have complained to the BBC management behind his back.
Also if you are a self employed contractor(for financial reasons) you run the the risk of not having your contract renewed
Had he been directly employed by the BBC he might have had a case against them.
