Absolutely with the butterscotch hate. The thing I remember from angel delight is that powdery taste where the mix hadn't fully dissolved and it tasting grainy

Different example, one involving actual females in the Lindy West throuple, but these Sex People alt living setups almost always end up dissolving not just out of sexual jealousy but in arguments over who takes the bins out and cleans the toilets unless there is one designated "wife" who does the admin and shit work.

Looks like the ugly sisters are women in the sense of having make up but didn't have the life experience of having FUCKING HOUSEHOLD CHORES on threat of shaming their abilities as a woman drummed into them as young males.

I bet they'll hire a cleaner.

AgedPudding · 19/07/2026 11:17

Also it was butterscotch flavour which is disgusting

Aaw it's not that bad. It was always my husband's favourite. We saw it in a shop some months ago and he bought a packet. Tried to make it with oat milk but that sadly doesn't work, it just remained in liquid form. Anyone in the scientific community able to tell me why? Having said that, he's in the scientific community and he doesn't know why so . . . . .

AgedPudding · 19/07/2026 11:21

Yeah, so I just googled it.

It’s a load of mostly middle aged men, with a few women. They have a long running thread about how much they hate Glinner. Some are actively TRAs, I’d class the rest as zealot allies.

Cook'd and Bomb'd is one of several TRA hangouts that refuses to host myriad viewpoints. 'One opinion only is allowed' and woe betide anyone who veers from the righteous path. Reddit is another; modded by zealots.

I find it ironic that these people then end up with no proper arguments. Surrounding themselves with head-nodders has only resulted in a paper thin echo chamber of flimsy ideas. "No debate" did them a massive disservice

It would be interesting to see if their god, Chris Morris also was fully signed up to TWAW. It's like the Stewart Lee or Thick of It Reddit thread, the original intent of the comic / satirist is to poke fun at blatant absurdity and emphasize their edge lord nature, but it spawns it's own orthodoxy that shoots down anyone who can't follow the logic that they've all signed up to. A community of Robin Inces

Wait... Chris Morris? The Brass Eye guy?

Lalgarh · 19/07/2026 13:25

Yes. It's a Chris's Morris / Brass Eye fan site

ThatCyanCat · 19/07/2026 13:33

I really hope Morris was never of the "women can have dicks" brigade but there have been a lot of surprising recruits to that camp.

I don’t think he’s commented on it much but what he has said has been vaguely RSOH like all good comedians with a few exceptions. He apparently met up with Graham Linehan (who he worked on IT Crowd and other stuff with) for lunch a few years ago and was spotted by members of Cookd and Bombd who rushed to post about it.

Don’t think his heart’s really in it, unlike Stewart Lee for example. I also think he might be wondering when he’ll be able to take the piss out of it.

I thought the butterscotch angel delight was for an Emina.

Is an Emina an award for the best arse washout within a polycule?

I now actively fear finding this mysterious Angel Delight footage

With thanks to AI…

”Angel Delight doesn't set with oat milk because its powdered mix relies heavily on specific dairy proteins (like casein) and fats to thicken. Oat milk lacks these proteins and has different fat and sugar structures, which typically leaves the mixture watery or soupy.”

This must be why the packet says that whole or semi-skimmed milk should be used.

What was his post about Angel Delight? I searched but couldn’t find it (maybe a blessing in disguise?!)

It was something like ‘it’s my name day today and I’ve chosen Angel Delight’.

Nope, me neither.

I have never heard of this ‘angel’s delight’ stuff, but it seems like a junket type dessert which relies on rennet. Which is what calves’ digestive systems use to digest milk and is used for cheese making.

We did these experiments in biology in school and they were the tasty ones.

No, Angel Delight doesn't contain rennet.

Per the ingredients list on a shopping website, it contains
Sugar
Modified Starches
Dried Glucose Syrup
Palm Oil
Inulin
Milk Protein Concentrate
Gelling Agents (Diphosphates, Sodium Phosphates, Carrageenan)
Emulsifiers (Lactic Acid Esters of Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids)
Milk Proteins
Calcium Carbonate

(Lactic acid is apparently produced by bacterial fermentation of glucose, corn starch or whey.)

The time to take the piss out if it was five years ago, and others beat him to it.

The... The lumps in it 🤢

And the inexplicable chopping board ( with large machete..) on the floor.

It's a frat house with middle aged males. It's Eddie and Richie from Bottom

It is utterly grim (and bizarre).

ItsCoolForCats · 20/07/2026 09:14

I did zoom in to try to see what is on the chopping board, but I'm at a loss.

Abhannmor · 20/07/2026 09:19

Sounds a bit like David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed sharing a flat in Berlin back in the 70s. You'd wonder who did the washing up - guessing nobody!

  • Except they were funny and talented
