Tempest (a TW) is claiming discrimination, harassment and/or victimisation on grounds of gender reassignment. Central to the claim is the Sex Equality and Equity Network in the Civil Service (SEEN or IP). SEEN has been granted right to intervene. Parts of the original claim against the co-chair of SEEN (Elspeth Duemmer-Wrigley) and another party (Andreas Mueller) were struck out or narrowed. Another claimant, PQ, is no longer part of the case.

The hearing is in Leeds; the number of online observers has been limited by the court due to "capacity" and posters are reporting that requests for links are being declined on those grounds.

Also to note that Elspeth still has a garden in need of seeds and water to support the ability of SEEN to be an intervenor in this case.

Are any journalists there? Just wondering if this will get picked up by the media at all? Certain media outlets love having a pop at the civil service and how work shy we all are because we faff around with EDI nonsense. They would love this 🤣

Did the claimant really say that because it wasn't technically possible for IT to implement 100% of the OH recommendation, only 95% of it, then the claimant wanted special leave on full pay because that's what OH said they should have until their recommendations were put in place?

Plus, let's not forget, this "harassment" that Tempest claims they want their employer to remove, is simply the reminder that SEEN exists and some of their colleagues hold GC views. That's it.

Was paid at least 5 months on full pay just to avoid seeing emails that referenced sex as a concept existing. He should be done for fraud.

With the exception of the Scottish press I think most of the mainstream media waited until they could see half the world was talking about the Sandie Peggie case before they said anything. Once this is over I imagine there may be a few pieces, BBC will ignore it.

Well well well, there is no doubt in my mind that this numpty has been on FWR and that he would have found it impossible not to comment, i just wonder what usernames he uses.

He didnt say he was actually IN the breastfeeding and menopause group, he could have heard from someone else. Although he will say he's on HRT so should be there.

No. He was quite sure that the existence of SEEN itself is a harassment. That's just restating the same thing in more detail.

I was able to listen to this bit. He actually said 'groups I might join in the future like menopause and breastfeeding'. Verbatim quote.

Those do sound like two distinct groups rather than a single coverall grouping
