Is anyone’s MP Tom Hayes?

Fancy writing him a letter as a constituent asking why he is not concerned about 51% of his constituents but he really is about 0.5% of them?

He spent a long time writing that didn't he?
Objecting to MAS & her colleague's "tone" 😄 Claiming she was reluctant to engage with "elected representatives". Objecting to the law. Objecting to the guidance. Objecting to women having rights to privacy and safety from men?

Always useful to see how a gay male MP can actively work against the rights and safety of 50% of the population. When someone shows you who they really are and all that..... 🙄

Lovelyview · 13/06/2026 15:29

I have a relatively sane labour mp so I've written to him saying thank you for not signing the EDM and reiterating that women need single sex spaces.. I think the trans activists make a lot of noise and mps need to know that there are opposing voices amongst their constituents.

MarieDeGournay · 13/06/2026 15:38

I hope MAS has been told that she did a good job - not a partisan-good job, just a straight-bat, sticking-to the-actual-facts kind of good job, but that's rare enough to make her very worthy of respect in a democratic societySmile

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 13/06/2026 16:51

Opps sorry posted in error.

Zoonosis · 13/06/2026 17:40

Oh stop with this pathetic pitting of "51% of the population against 0.5%". Especially coming from a male poster who has no right whatsoever to claim to speak for that 51% regardless of how many daughters he uses as a shield. Most women do not support this extreme GC nonsense, do not spend our lives obsessing about other people's chromosomes or genitals, and do not want regressive reactionary bigoted policies of exclusion to be touted in our name. Good for Tom Hayes, he has raised some really good questions, exactly the kind of thoughtful job an MP should be doing.

It really isn't extreme for women to want spaces away from men. Especially when they're undressed or vulnerable.

only20yearstoretirement · 13/06/2026 18:07

Maybe write the same letter to Ellie Chowns. She’s infuriating me with the same BS.

SwirlyGates · 13/06/2026 18:25

extreme GC nonsense

Do you mean, believing that "woman" has a biological definition, and that women have a right to spaces, sports etc. that are women-only and do not include men? You consider either of those points extreme? Or nonsense?

I think you will find that very many women do object to males in their single sex spaces. Why should we allow males in our spaces because we deserve dignity, privacy and safety. We have no way to knowing which males are a danger to us and children.
This is a very serious matter and most certainly not nonsense. So many trans identifying males have been committing sexual/violent offences.
We don’t want our hard won rights given away by “be kinders” @Zoonosis

Tom Hayes wrote a load of guff, MAS and her term did a sterling job at answering the halfwitted questions from a bunch of sulky, rude, obstropulous kidadults.

The fact that MAS refused to allow the briefing to the Women & Equalities committee be all about the 'trans', and had to constantly remind them that there are 9 PC's not just the 1 they're obsessed with, is why you 'allies' are kicking off.

Standing up for the rights of women and girls is not 'extreme', our opinions are based in fact and law, not pie-in-the-sky magical thinking.
Most women would disagree with you.

Cage a bit rattled today Zoonosis?
The sight of Labour MPs spending endless hours trying to subvert the law, wedge men into spaces where women & girls undress and promote men cheating in women's sport is a grim sight to most of the population.

Especially given the massive issues the country faces, his inability to respect women's rights and child safeguarding and accept the SC judgment is very revealing.

Still, we see daily how important access to unconsenting women and girls undressing appears to be to some people. And it's concerning when those peope are MPs.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/06/2026 18:47

Here's a link to all the signatories. I'm really cross to see my MP's name there. I will have to write to her. She normally does her level best to avoid anything controversial but she has Goldsmiths in her constituency and our council is now controlled by the Greens so she's probably fearful for the future. https://edm.parliament.uk/early-day-motion/65938/draft-code-of-practice-on-services-public-functions-and-associations

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/06/2026 18:54

They're not all Labour. 132 MPs have signed.
Labour 69
LibDem 48
Plaid 4
SNP 5
Green 3
Independent 2 (Corbyn and Abbott)
Your Party 1 (Sultana)

Two MPs signed but then withdrew their signatures - Tim Farron and Andrew George, both LibDems.

BournemouthIsDepressing · 13/06/2026 19:03

Yes he is my MP. I really like him but he shoehorns his sexuality and his disabled parents at every opportunity, neither of which are relevant to the ehrc ruling. When he next knocks on the door I will raise it with him.

tesseractor · 13/06/2026 19:16

My MP has signed …… he’s a vet. My eyes can’t roll far enough.

Lovelyview · 13/06/2026 19:34

If you mp has signed, please write and say you disagree. It's important that they know there are constituents who support the correct implementation of the law.

What a silly post.

There’s nothing extreme about recognising that women need and deserve rights.

If you think the majority of women think we don’t need rights, you’re living in cloud cuckoo land. The BeKinders with internalised misogyny are in the minority, thankfully.

And if you think the OP shouldn’t be speaking on this issue as he’s male, presumably you ignore all the male TRAs, don’t you? As they’re also unqualified to speak on issues that affect actual women, aren’t they. Being male.

It is not extreme to recognise that women are not men; that males are not female and that female people represent a protected catgeory in the Equalities Act as well as in everyday, common sesnse reality the world over.

Campaign for your own provisons rather than attempting to colonise and appropriate that which belongs to another group. The vast majority of women and girls do not want to have men in the public spaces which have been set aside for them for reasons of privacy and dignity.

Tom Hayes, like many gay men, shows absolutely no consideration or empathy for women and girls at all......He also displays absolutley no conception of the recent ruling , nor of the role of the ECHR. He brings his role as a public servant into disrepute.

Most people are GC. Everyone knows people can’t change sex. Trans people know it more than anyone. In a world where men commit most of the violent and sexual crime biological females need safeguards.

HTH

In fact the signatures of at least 3 other MPs, all LibDems, appeared on the EDM, then were withdrawn completely. One was Sarah Olney, whose name was there when I checked a few days ago, then it wasn't.

PatsFishTank · 13/06/2026 21:59

My MP is Tim Farron. At least his name has been removed now. I've written to him about women's rights before and he's been very firmly sat on the fence and pretty useless.

She's getting a lot of pushback on the Your Herefordshire facebook page. Many people are saying live and let live but no men in women's spaces.
YouGov polling shows that this is typical of the whole country. Brits are tolerant, but not stupid.
