Birmingham Pride Withdrawal

The UK legal system has become so compromised that an ambulance service showing up at Pride with LGBTQ+ people is now treated as a breach of “political impartiality”.

Public solidarity with LGBTQ+ people has been recast as a partisan act.

We're already 2nd worst score for LGBTQ+ rights out of all of Western Europe (worst for transgender rights) and stuff like this moves the needle further into the red. 😡

When I see organisations displaying the “progress” pride flag, or participating in Pride in its modern form, it tells me that either (1) they have no idea that they are signalling alliance with a contested ideology (gender ideology, which is nothing to do with gay people) which could make gender critical people (whose beliefs are WORIADS) feel unwelcome in the service that they are providing or (2) they fully understand what they are aligning with and intend gender critical people to feel unwelcome.

Neither of these are appropriate for a public body providing a public service.

If the TQ+ was removed from the LGB (ie go back 10 years or so) there would be no issue at all.

All of the staff are free to attend as private individuals. It’s not like it’s been banned. It’s just that uniformed staff should not be aligned with any political causes or campaigns to avoid discrimination. Without fear or favour - neutrality at last - how things are supposed to be

Please explain. If you are talking about the SC judgement then it was only clarifying existing law.

So you’re not actually able to make a point, then? If I’m incorrect, I’m sure you won’t mind clarifying exactly what your point is, as any reasonable person would do.

Good news, thanks for letting us know.

2nd worst score, well with a little more effort I'm sure we can get that to 1st. 🥇🥳

I read the other day that the LGBT group at a Uni have stopped the Uni from sponsoring their local Pride, because the Uni has followed the law and provided single sex spaces. Then today I saw Newcastle Pride asking for money due to lack of Sponsorships.

Sounds a little bit like the discredited Stonewall partner rating scheme. I've pulled my own equally valid, equality rating system out of thin air - surprisingly the UK comes out on top.

When you say trans women, do you mean blokes in a dress?

Shall I ask the question again but use smaller words for you?

Perhaps you could answer the questions upthread first? We're all waiting.

Is t that what you call a win -win situation?

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 20/05/2026 16:37

Fantastic!

no one is falling for the forced teaming of LGB with TQ anymore I’m afraid.

CompleteGinasaur · 20/05/2026 16:38

This is taking quite some time. I was quite looking forward to having the faults in my lesbian feminist thinking pointed out to me. After all, I do accept that there are things about being a lesbian that I must be getting wrong, having only a tiny lady-brain and all..

MsGreying · 20/05/2026 16:38

Ereshkigalangcleg · 20/05/2026 15:32

How is that the fault of the “UK legal system” exactly?

Oh because the legal system has completely swallowed the men can be women nonsense for too long.

The legal system should also believe in biology.

BiologicalRobot · 20/05/2026 16:58

OPs thread has become a little hole-y with OPs posts missing. Maybe get it fully deleted OP and repost more sensitively using less harmful words?

RhannionKPSS · 20/05/2026 16:58

Oh get over yourself, there is no LGBT etc etc, just LGB , the rest is delusional
