Thats it really….ok so this place is staffed by gerbils with the occasional quokka or capybara but it functions like a friendly pub where you don’t have to know what’s going on all the time.
The drinks don’t intoxicate and the food is delicious yet healthy so please do come in.

All other champagnes are available at the Bluey, naturellement.
'Bolly' suggested itself to me because it is a fun abbreviation, and I always hear it in the voice of whats'er'name in Ab Fab saying 'Bolly dahling'.

I'm glad Batshit is having a nice birthday, Edith, it sounds perfect.
And how nice that Brains isn't jealous - who's a good doggie? Brains is, yes you are yes you are yes you are a good doggie
On reflection, if I said that in that a 'talking to doggies' tone of voice, I suspect Brains would look at me with a mixture of pity and mild contempt, a look that said
'FFS, woman, stop talking like that, pull yourself together and act with a bit of dignity!'😄

😂She would indeed. Possibly adding, 'I am the guardian of hearth and home, fearsome huntress of woods and fields, and Protector of Batshit, who cannot be trusted alone and unsupervised.' She wouldn't bother informing you of her more illicit activities. She operates on a strictly need-to-know basis.

And Batshit would bark at you a bit, frolic about winningly and then settle down to receive some fond attention.

Lily of the valley is my favourite flower, also my birth flower if you follow those things.

I wanted them in my wedding bouquet but was told they were out of season. (in July, they probably were.)

Our last house had a lily of the valley bed, which was there when we moved in. It was in a damp corner. Leaving it is just about my only regret about changing houses. I have some giant snowdrops in a pot by the front door this year - there are similarities.

@MarieDeGournay i have the lily of the valley growing in my garden, i was musing over what they were, so thanks for resolving the mystery.

i dug them up from a customers garden last year, she died recently, so very glad i now remember.

It has been blue sky all day here so been out gardening.
