I think this is really poor. It seems to go well beyond their original remit.
They seem to have turned themselves into a ranty uni-soc type of outfit.

I wonder how JKR will respond, if she does.

They are so utterly desperate for her attention.

I wonder if he has some grand fantasy of standing in a court room ranting at her. On the money given by his followers, with the costs and fines paid by them too. It wouldn't happen of course, why would she even bother turning up? It would be some legal rep and a slam dunk. I can't see a whole lot of grandstanding being allowed as to why a law was broken, it's not relevant and the court isn't an audience.

They are going to get Warn Bros legal dept's attention, fo sho. That is a clear infringement of their font copyright.

I give those stickers a week. GLP will have to come out with a new design if they want to keep needling JKR.

Here's a better look at a sticker.
The image file name is JKR-labels-1x-Mockup.png.

No way will Warner Bros let these stickers use that font.

They could add ‘and smells of wee’ if they were wanting to keep it classy.

And who, by and large, don’t have much money…

Yep. Not the best business plan. He must really, really believe this shit.

That really is the level.

I am having enjoyable fantasies though of the ranting.

"On x date, she said something I heard from someone on reddit was awful, and I don't know what it is but it absolutely justified my actions!"

It would be entertaining.

AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment · 30/04/2026 18:02

Good grief, he really does need to fiddle with the postage and packing costs.

How on earth does it cost £6 to ship 10 stickers

Just another grift.

SirChenjins · 30/04/2026 18:11

How many stickers will they have to sell to match JK Rowling's income in the last hour, I wonder?

Her eyes must ache from rolling them at this desperate man. He seems to have quite the crush on her.

Instructions · 30/04/2026 18:14

JM wishes so much people cared enough to make stickers about him

DuchessofReality · 30/04/2026 18:17

Much as I hate to say it, I think this is actually quite a clever ruse.

JM hopes JKR will sue. Because then he gets A LOT of publicity and money from a 'JKR is suing me please donate' funder.

And the stickers are priced not to sell, so he can say that no-one bought them and so there is no detriment.

The other option is of course that he hopes the stickers will sell, and he genuinely thinks there is no problem, copyright or otherwise, with the slogan. But that seems.....unlikely?

Pigeons are getting too big for their boots and want to be classed similar to Hedwig's flight department.

OttersOnAPlane · 30/04/2026 18:24

This is from the 'keen mind' who thought a message ending in x meant JKR was actually good friends with him.

What a putz

Leavesandthings · 30/04/2026 18:46

What I don't understand about the weird non-law side projects, like this and I think a political art quilt, is why they are doing them.

Do they want to be a focused, respected law firm taking on trans cases, as they bill themselves to be? or do they want to be a sort of general radical campaign group doing arty stuff in a very studenty way, (nevermind the obnoxious and immature nature of it)?

Don't they see the problem with failing at the first objective and then doing these side projects that seem like a waste of time and money? How is it supposed to help their cause or impress their benefactors?

thirdfiddle · 30/04/2026 19:34

Ooh do you think that's deliberate? He's positioned it so Warner Bros will register objections, then even if (likely) he doesn't get JKR's attention he can pretend it comes from her to his funders?

Waitwhat23 · 30/04/2026 19:57

Ghostmartin · 30/04/2026 17:15

Does he not consider these legal factors? He's a lawyer, right?

IIRC, he specialises in tax law. Don't know how good he is in relation to tax law but he's proper shite at the rest of it. I'm not sure if GLP have won any cases - they've lost an awful lot.

Secretseverywhere · 30/04/2026 19:58

HappilyHarriet · 30/04/2026 15:50

Well if this does go to court we’ll need to explore a legal definition of ‘transphobe’.
No one wants to be thought of as a transphobe, but if the definition is discussed many will find that’s what they actually are.

I really feel like being called a transphobe / transphobic has lost it’s oomph. A few years ago it was almost akin to being called a racist and would inspire much distancing from others. Of course then TRAs went all in and declared everyone transphobic who wasn’t 💯 TWAW. Now it’s got the moral weight of being told it’s unfair by a Kevin & Perry type.

Suggestions for a better 'L'?

The ‘smells of wee’ will be from the enclosed toilets Jolyon tried to demand in court and now schools. That campaign is going down the pan so he needs something tangible to show. Donators gave GLP £500k for toilet demands and all they got was this lousy sticker. That they have to pay for.

There, sadly, is a t shirt that would sell.

'I gave GLP £x to destroy women's rights, and all I got was this sticker'.

GwenogJones · 30/04/2026 20:33

Jolyon and his stickers rather forcibly reminds me of Draco Malfoy and his badges. A lame villain villaining lamely.
Maybe for the next one he'll just go with the more succinct "Rowling Stinks".

Hm. I'm trying to remember what was on the stickers that got StickerWoman arrested and put in a cell. I am fairly sure it was less... libellous... than this. Although I can't see many of these making it into the public realm, tbf.
