I cannot find the earlier thread on this to link to. In that it was stated that in Cuba gender reassignment surgery under 18 is illegal. It's certainly a child abduction but not clear whether the claims that surgery was the aim were valid. Perhaps it helped speed recovery up?

I copied the thread title from elsewhere. I was too shocked to think of another heading in that moment.

I read about the illegalities online too, but also that there were people prepared to do it anyway. The $10000 and the note being compelling evidence of intent.
